"We're going on a berry hunt!" Harry yells loudly.
"We're going on a berry hunt!" Gemma and I echo.
"We're gonna get some juicy ones!" He leads, and we echo his words again.
"We're not scared!"
"We're not scared!"
"It's a beautiful day!" We all say in unison, ending the little jingle that I'm pretty sure was from Dora the Explorer. We were walking slash skipping through the streets, not really worrying about the strange looks that we were receiving. When people looked at us they probably thought we were on crack or something, because we were acting like children on Halloween.
Absolutely physco.
"Harryyyy." Gemma whined,"Can we take a break."
Harry willingly agreed and we skipped inside a small cafe, taking a seat at a table for three. Harry excusing himself to go to the bathroom, or the lou as he called it. Gemma and I sit across from eachother, breathing heavily from all the skipping and running.
"You know I'm glad you came back, I honestly thought you wouldn't." Gemma tells me truthfully, and I smile lightly.
"I'd be crazy not to."
"Harry's had enough pain to last a lifetime..." She starts.
"I would never intentionally hurt Harry, I promise."
"Just you be careful alright? He's a broken kid, yeah Harry is sweet, and funny, protective and all those great things, but he has his flaws Ryder he..."
I cut her off, what she was saying about Harry had bugged me,"Everyone has flaws Gemma, yeah Harry has them and maybe I really don't know him but nobody, not even his sister can tell me that I'm making a mistake. Harry is worth it, whether you see it or not? That's your choice." I spit with a concrete expression. Gemma looks taken aback,"Gemma I'm sorry I didn't..."
She shakes her head,"Whoever has the guts to stand up for Harry to his sister, has my vote." She says with a slight smirk on her face.
Harry returns to the table from the bathroom and sits dwn in the empty spot next to me.
"Find anything interesting to talk about while I was gone? Hopefully not gross feminine products." Gemma and I looked at eachother and laughed.
"Oh we did." Gemma speaks, giving me a knowing look.

Harry and I lay in the warm grass, the sun beating down on our bodies. He holds my hand in his lifting it up in the air, the sun reflects off of our olive skin. Bubbly laughter escapes his pink supple lips, as I join in adding a small snort here and there. Which Harry always makes fun of me for. I twirl a piece of grass between my fingers, breathing in the scent of mildew that hangs in the sweet autumn air.
"Awkward stage?"
"Awful." I state truthfully.
"How so" Harry questions, his thumb creating invisible circles on the back of my hand.
"Imagine. Braces, five dollar hair cut, and foundation three shades darker than my actual skin color." Harry lets out a hardy laugh,"Nowadays girls are just skipping the awkward stage, like no man here's dark blue eye shadow, do your time."
"Ah so you were a brace face huh?" Harry teases me relentlessly. My awkward stage was awful, thank God for puberty because even if I'm not completely gorgeous at the moment, at least I look better than I was in middle school and the beginning of high school.
"Shut up I'm sure your awkward stage was horrible, and then puberty hit you like a truck and..."
"Became super hot." He cuts into my sentence.
"You're so full of yourself." I joke.
There is a comfortable silence that settles between us, until Harry suddenly speaks up,"Ryder." He says turning his head to me, and I the same,"I am so glad that I met you." And suddenly I am brought back to the night on the roof of his car, where he said those same words to me. But this time I didn't miss the opportunity to kiss him.
