Chapter 6: goodnight kiss

"So have you and Seth talked yet?" AJ asked as we walked down to the hotel lobby.

"No, not really. I haven't seen or spoke to him since Tuesday." I stated.

It has been about five days since I have talked to Seth. I don't know if it was something I said or something else that's bothering him. It felt really weird that he and I weren't talking for this long.

"So about five days? You haven't talked to him for five days?" AJ clarified.

"Well four days, four hours, twenty one minutes, and fifteen seconds to be exact."

"Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twe-"

"You're really hung over this guy aren't you?" AJ questioned looking at me.

"What? What are you talking about? Are you even listening to yourself right now? I'm not hung over Seth." I defended.

"Yeah, that's what you said before you started to keep track of exactly the time you guys haven't talked." AJ said.

"Thirty three, thirty four, thirty five--"

"Erica! See! Listen to yourself right now!" AJ said amusingly.

"Thirty-six, thirty seven, thir-Okay maybe I'm a little bit hung over this guy." I admitted.

"Little? How about a lot!"

I chuckled as we arrived at the gym. I was secretly still counting in my head.

Thirty nine, forty, forty one, forty two, forty three....

Later

AJ had left about fifteen minutes ago. I was still at the gym, catching up with some more exercise. I sat down and messed around with my phone. I was debating on whether I should call Seth or not.

Go for it. It won't hurt to try.

No don't do it. He hates you.

How can he be mad at you? You didn't do anything wrong.

The truth hurts doesn't it?

I shook my head and made my way towards the wrestling ring in the back. I slid in and started to stretch. I then started running the ropes, going back and forth. After that, I sat on the top turn buckle. I was thinking about practicing a move that I was working on. It was a 540° corkscrew moonsault. I have been watching videos on how to do this. And it was extremely complex and difficult. But the good thing about it is that its impact on others can help me pick up the win for my matches. I climbed up on the top rope and exhaled.
'Just relax, Erica. You'll do fine.' I said to myself.

I relaxed my muscles a bit before preparing myself. I closed my eyes and launched off the ropes, twisting my body in the process. I expected to land on the hard canvas but something prevented me from doing so. Instead of landing hard on the floor, I landed pretty lightly. Almost as if someone caught me and sort of dropped me. I opened my eyes and stood up, looking for the person I had landed on.

"Seth!" I exclaimed once I saw him lying on the ground.

"That was really good moonsault." He coughed out, "Just keep on practicing on where you land. But in this case, who you land on."

I completely ignored his advice and jumped right into his arms, pulling him in a big hug.

"You had me so worried! We haven't talked for five days! Five freaking days, Rollins! But to be exact, we haven't talked for four days, six hours, forty five minutes, and thirty nine seconds!" I said as I held on to him.
