Lawrence entered the dining room followed by Donovan. The dining room has three glass pane windows, its maroon curtains tied to the side causing the red light of the sky outside to brighten the room giving an odd alluring effect. A long table is laid out horizontally at the center of the room filled with utensils, napkins, and delicious cuisines that made his appetite crave. There's a glass chandelier hanging on the ceiling dimly glowing. He saw a demon standing in front of the middle glass pane window admiring the view outside with his hands behind his back.
"Your majesty, your guest is here." Donovan said.
"Great! You can go now."
Without saying anything, Donovan bowed and left the dining room closing both doors on his way out leaving Lawrence alone with the king. The demon turns around and smiles mischievously.
"Hi there! Looks like you're the new guy I've been waiting for. Ain't that right? I gotta say you look fine as hell." The king giggles as he walks toward Lawrence standing near the doorway. Realizing what the king said had two meanings made him speechless and flattered.
"Err... Thank you? It's nice to meet you, your majesty." He replied nervously while he bowed.
"Hey, Hey, you can relax around me. No need to call me 'sir' or 'your majesty.' I've been hearing that all the damn time it's getting annoying I swear. Just keep it casual."
The king is now in front of him Lawrence observes the king's appearance. His skin is pale as snow, he has blonde hair, his lips are black with sharp teeth, he has red cheeks and his eyes are yellow with black slits as pupils like that of a snake. He is wearing a white high-collar suit, a black bow tie, a red undershirt with white stripes along with white pants and black boots. Lawrence noticed the king isn't wearing his hat nor he didn't have his cane with him as he saw from the family portrait. The king is slightly taller than him by a few inches.
'He's even more attractive in person.'
He thought as he is lost in a daze. The king noticed this as he raises his eyebrow and then smirks.
"Hmm? Not bad looking, am I right?"
Lawrence immediately snaps out of it and blushes while he tries to find the right words to say.
"Y-yes, uh n-no, I mean I-I'm sorry for staring." He stuttered quickly before his shoulders slump in defeat, already thinking he made a bad impression. The king however just laughed hard which made Lawrence blush and his ears warm up while his eyes looked down.
"Sweet duckies on a barrel! You're quacking me up." The king wiped a tear of glee from his eye.
"Is this your plan of first impressions? Make my insides hurt 'til it pops? Because it's definitely working."
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean-" Lawrence muttered weakly almost low enough to not hear but it was heard regardless. That doesn't stop him from feeling embarrassed though.
"Ah, Lighten up will you? Life's too bleak to be always taken seriously you know? I was only teasing." The king interrupted Lawrence's meek apology. The king then raised his hand out for a handshake.
"I am Lucifer Magne of the Morningstar family, Heaven's great former angel in command and author of sins by yours truly~" The king puts his other hand on his chest dramatically with a wink and a flirty smile.
"But you can just call me, Lucifer! Nice meetin' ya! Cute guy like you don't come around often!" Lucifer's eyes seemingly focused on the nervous human before him, waiting. Lawrence glanced at the raised gloved hand in front of him before shaking it hesitantly. The Devil's grip on his hand was firm and warm. Lucifer's smile seem to widen a bit from the returned gesture.
