A few hours have passed before Lawrence and Lucifer needed to go back to the mansion. Leaving a disappointed Charlie and Husk who seemed to be upset now that Lawrence needed to go so soon. Lawrence bid goodbye to everyone and they were happy for meeting him except for Husk who only gave him a sad smile and a weak wave as they left the hotel. After arriving back in the mansion. They ate breakfast and prepared themselves for their visit to Baxter the known scientist/inventor demon that Lucifer mentioned yesterday. They brought along Donovan just in case Lucifer got called from his work.
"Lucifer, why do we need to go to Baxter's place again?" Lawrence asks confused as both of them sat in the backseat of the limo with Donovan driving the car.
"Why to help you remember your forgotten memories of course! I promised you that didn't I?" Lucifer smiled across from him.
"Oh yeah, I feel kind of bad that you're doing all of this for me." Lawrence rubbed the sleeves of his purple hoodie.
Lucifer's face softens.
"Lad, you are a dearest friend of mine. I would do anything just to see you smile."
They smiled at each other.
"Thank you." Lawrence said.
"Oh lad, you're so precious. I have no idea why you're so kind to me. I'm the literal devil that you mortals feared and yet... Here you are." Lucifer said as he stood up and took a seat next to Lawrence to put an arm around his shoulder.
"You're right, but you proved me wrong when I first met you. So I trust you."
Hearing him say that made his heart flutter and his conscience guilty for hiding the truth from him on his way to getting back home.
'I'm sorry lad, but I prefer to see you smile than cry for me.' Lucifer thought.
"And I'm glad for that." Lucifer just hid his guilt behind his smile.
"How'd you know where Baxter lives anyway?"
"I have my ways." Lucifer grinned.
"Your majesty, we have arrived." Donovan said.
Donovan parked the limo in front of an old worn building. They exited their ride and walked in front of the door.
"Why are we here Donovan? There's nothing here?" Lawrence asks confused looking at the seemingly empty building.
"Just watch Lawrence." Donovan knocked on the door and they waited.

Baxter is in his basement lab currently experimenting with some of the chemicals in the flasks when he heard a knock.

"Who could that be?" Baxter held a rag and wore safety goggles and looked back up at the entrance to his secret laboratory.
"Ugh, whatever it is I'm sure it's not worth my time. Wait, is this because of my little screw-up a while back? Surely not?" Baxter whispered to himself slowly putting away his things whilst also thinking.
