Maxwell called his boss on the phone,
"Hello Fred"
Fred Surprised"Maxwell why calling me by this time"
"Sir i think I made a mistake by refusing the forensics, I have a feeling that my step mum was killed"he said in tears
"Why do you think so"
"Well sir noting fitts in in the whole investigation, the file they saw, the cancer notting just fitts in" maxwell said painfully
"So what do you want me to do"
"I want the forensic department to take her body tommorrow just to be sure its cancer"
"ok i will send in the forensic team tommorrow"
With so much greatfullness maxwell said"thank you boss so greatfull"
"You are wellcome"
True to his words forensics picked his step mums body the next day.
As Ruth body was carried away.
Maxwell went to his office carried some officers, and together they went to the hospital were the cancer result was from. when they got there they met with the receptionist,
"Hello we are looking for doctor leonard"Maxwell said
"Ok wait in the seat there, let me call him"
Raising his voice a little Maxwell said "young lady, We are on a murder case, we can't wait, were is his office"
Visibly frighten by him she said "its is the third room to your right"
"Thank you"
"Lets go"Maxwell said signalling to his men,
They went striaght to the office door and knocked then they heard a voice come in.
As Maxwell and his men walked in thier eyes were greated by a young Doctor, "pls seat down", He said
Well as they sat down
Maxwell said "we are here on case we are handling"
"and how may i be of help"Doctor Leonard said,
"well we want to know if you tested any woman called Ruth for cancer"
"Yes she had about till last week to live"
"Ok thank you "
Then he and his men left hospital
Ariving at the station he saw the glommy faces of his collegue he knows they pity him, but right now he just wants to be sure that his stepmum was not killed.
Going striaght to Luitenant Fred office he knocked,"yes come in"He heard as he got in he could see the egaled eyes, the Luitenant had, he could tell that the luitanant wanted answers.
"Wellcome, so how are things" Luitenant Fred asked
"well I checked on the Doctor who wrote the cancer report"
"And he said that yes indeed Ruth had cancer and would have died around around last week"
Fred look inquisitively at maxwell and said"do u have any reservesions"
"well yes one Ruth did not show any sign cancer so severe to kill her so early ,things like loss of hair and weakness,
when i mention Ruth he began to stumble on his words like he is confussed"
"Is that all" Fred asked
"well yes i belive thier is something he is not saying"
"Ok thats lets go check the forensics".
So Fred and Maxwell walked to the forensic section were the met Dr Felix
"So Felix what was the cause of her death"Maxwell asked,
"well she died of mecury poisoning and she never had cancer"
Both Maxwell and Fred exchanged pussled looks,
"so you mean that she did not have cancer and she died of mecury"Fred asked confused
"Yes sir thats exactly what happened"
"Ok thanks" Fred said
Maxwell then left with some men to the hospital to arrest the doctor for interrogation.
On getting to hospital Maxwell and his men went straight to his office only to find it empty.
Maxwell turning in anger went to the receptionist
Shouting he said "where is he"
"Who"the receptionist said shakking visibly
"Doctor Leonard"he replied thurnderously
Now shivering she said"he had an emergency call and had to leave"
"So whats his address"
"You would have to meet the head doctor to get that kind of information"she said fearfully
"And were is his office "
"It is the fourth room by your right"
Then Maxwell and his men marched to the head doctor and knocked, immedately they heard come in maxwell pushed the door roughly and marched in with his men, to meet a doctor whos eyes were bossoming flower wide open in shock looking at officers in office but maxwell cared less
"were is Doctor Leonard"he said
"he had an emergency and had to leave"he said storting
"well whats his address"
Facing Maxwell and making eye contact with him the doctor asked"why would i devulge my employers information to you"
"we are working on a murder case and he is needed"maxwell said rasing his voice"
"Ok number 10 virgina estate"
So Maxwell and his men left the hospital straight to Leonard's house.
When they got their, they knocked on the gate and the gate was opened by a young lady, Maxwell asked
"Mrs please who are you, we were told that this is Doctor Leonard house" Maxwell asked confused
Smilling she said "I am his wife"
Although surprised he still went on "well
am looking for Dr Leonard"
"He went to work this morning"
confused "so you mean He did not come home"
"no He is at the hospital"
Maxwell was tempted to ask to search the house but he knew he did not have a search warrant.
So he and his men only search arroud virgina estate, then he and his men left to the station.
Maxwell decided not to obtain any search warranty because the wife looked like she was saying the truth and if not, leonard would have left immedately they started seaching the estate because the estate was very big and they simply would not be able to know when he would sneack out of the house and escape, so he forgot about the idea of searching the house.
He gave the stations technicians his details that were obtained from the hospital like
phone number, bank details to track his location.
While Lieutenant Fred and Maxwell sent his pictures to other station.
