THE DARK TRUTH

It's a new day at work and as Maxwell was busy at office with the files in his office, then his office phone rang looking he saw, it was his boss's number, Lieutenant Fred number as he picked the call
"Good day Sir"
"How have you been "Lieutenant Fred asked
With a down casted voice Maxwell said "I am trying to survive this travail,at least the Doctor will soon be caught "
"Yeah that's why I called"
"What do you mean "Maxwell asked anxiously
"Well John, the head of the technical department called, He said they have something for us" Fred said as he stood up from his office chair,
Smiling Maxwell leaped from his chair "that's great" He almost shouted.
"Well am on my way to the department" Fred said
On getting their he found Maxwell already their, well they went to John who said "We tracked his number to Green Vile town in Alexander city which is in Alabama"
"Wow that great thanks" Maxwell said
As Maxwell and Fred left the technical department Maxwell asked his boss
"Sir don't you think that the doctor had some help in getting to Alabama "Maxwell said"thinking to him self
"Why" his boss asked confused
"Well his hospital is located here in Ajo which is in Arizona"
"So?" his boss asked still confused
"Well for him to leave Ajo and still leave Arizona to Alexander city in Alabama, with out being caught even after sending his pictures to the other stations is almost Impossible" Maxwell said shaking his head.
"That's true, but for now I will call the department of police in that area and tell them what's going on so they could assist us in getting him.
"Thanks boss"
As Maxwell got to his office deep in thought could it be that the doctor was not the only one who killed his mother that it was a planned assassination his phone turning to his phone with fumed face,
Almost screaming who is calling me then he realized it was his boss calming down he picked the call
"Maxwell guess what"
"What?"
"Well the head of department of the police in that area is a friend, so I convinced him to let us come and find this Doctor with them and he agreed"
"Great" Maxwell said with a very broad smile,
"So when are we going"
"Tomorrow" Lieutenant fred answered
"Thank you boss"
"You are welcome"
So Maxwell went on with the office work thinking of the next day.
As he closed from work it seemed like his heart beat more fast,he couldn't wait for the next day, as he flagged down a taxi to take him home
"Where would I drop you?"
" At zinc estate" "Maxwel said thinking to himself "I hope tomorrow ends with victory "
As Maxwell got into the taxi he thought to himself,
"How could this Doctor get to Alabama, even after We shared his picture to other stations.Could it be that he is well connected in the society?, but no it can't be from my investigation he is an ordinary Doctor, or could it be that the person who hired him was connected and could manipulate things? That is more likely possible.
But why would someone so high in authority and is connected want his step mother's death? She was not a politician nor was she a mega business person"
As he was thinking he was interrupted by the driver shouting "excuse me sir".
Apparently the driver had been calling on him but he was deep in his thought.
"We have arrived at the estate" said the driver
Maxwell got down and paid the driver on getting home he greeted his dad "Good day Dad"
"Good day so how was the office today"
"Well good,We are tracking the Doctor who killed Mrs Ruth,"
"So how is the investigation going"
"Well by tomorrow,we would have caught him"
"Phebe" shouted his Dad
"Yes sir" Mrs phebe answered rushing out
"Get us our food"
"Okay sir"
"What do you mean you would get him tomorrow,so you mean he has not been caught"
"No"
Hearing this Maxwell's Dad turned to Mrs Ruth favourite chair with tears in his eyes,noticing this Maxwell said
"Dad I promise you we would get him".
Just then Miss phebe came in with their food.
They then began to eat together in silence and with shady dark faces all they could do was look at Mrs Philip's seat with desolate gloomy eyes.
