Third Person PoV

The Mother lets out her sounds of sorrow as she cried while hugging Hiyori's lifeless corpse.

The Demon stood still.

The Demon clenched his fist.

He never felt this before.

Sadness, Anger at himself, Hate for himself.

After all, he couldn't do anything.

He was merely a Demon.

A Demon....that was attached to this little angel.

" Hiyori....I...I....." The mother couldn't even finish her words.

She refused to accept her daughter's death.

Not when she was given a proper chance to give her daughter a better life.

But in the end.... she died before she could even use that chance.

" I-Im so sorry my dear.....so....so sorry..." The mother accepted this blame.

Even though it wasn't her fault, she still took it all on herself.

The Doctors came in and confirmed the daughter's death.

" Would you...like us to-" The nurse tried to say but Miruka interrupted them.

" P-Please....leave us.....let me stay with my daughter......" The Mother pleaded.

The Doctor and nurses nodded their heads and left the room.

"....Fallen Angel, was my...daughter precious to you? " Miruka asked.

The Demon looked at her.

".....Yes." The Demon admitted.

There was no point in being in denial.

" I'm glad...." Miruka smiled sadly as she caressed her daughter's face.

" I'm glad she became precious to someone else...other than me. I'm glad she found warmth from you. Thank you...for taking care of her..." Miruka said.

The Demon didn't know what to say.

Mr. Demon PoV

I watched as Miruka began slowly accepting the death of her daughter.

I watched as she let out all her words of apologies, love and care to Hiyori's body.

The pain that she felt....

That pain that I'm feeling right now....

I'm going to be alone once again...

Wasn't that what I wanted?

When I first met her, my interest was peaked and I'm sure that I felt nothing for the child.

But as time went on...

She grew on me.
