Whitty's Point of View

"Erm..." Ruv stared at the wall on the left, trying to avoid answering. Pssh, I didn't think he'd ever be like this. Not gonna lie...it's kind of cute.

Sarv giggled.

"Aw, don't be shy!" Carol encouraged him.

I feel you, Ruv. I've went through the pain of withstanding all of the pressure this woman fires at me. I may or may not have exploded the last time she did this.

I put my hands up, showing Ruv that it was optional. "No worries, you can decide whatever you'd like. No obligations whatsoever." I said.

"O-okay..." I waited for an answer.

"To give the women their privacy, I'll stay with you and Hex, but I sleep on floor." He pointed down at our wooden planks.

Hold up, Ruv doesn't even speak proper English! I am terrible at reading new people. I thought he'd be the kind of guy that once you know, will start blabbering words that are too smart to pay attention to. Dang. Why is this version of him so adorable, though?

I won't deny that I am kind of attracted to this guy. I haven't dated in a while, and last time I did, I *cough* exploded *cough* because of the anxiety she gave me.

"Guess it's settled, then! I'll be heading to the bathroom." Carol raised her hand up as she walked away. "Goodnight y'all!"

"Night, Carol!" Hex and I said in unison.

"Okay, you boys should get ready to sleep too." Sarv suggested. "Yeah, you're right about that. I'm as tired as hell after today." I responded, yawning and stretching my arms.

"Goodnight, Sarv." Ruv said. "Haha, night Ruv! Don't let the floor bugs bite." She smirked.

"About that...I'm pretty sure we had an ant infestation last month." Hex winced as Ruv turned to him. "Meh, I'll be alright. If you excuse me, can we head to your room?" The Russian shrugged.

I opened my eyes widely. "Oh wait, I forgot to show you guys around! I really am a terrible host." I nervously laughed and took Sarv and Ruv by the wrists gently to give them a tour. "I'll be in our room!" Hex exclaimed.

. . .

After touring our lovely apartment, I began to feel drowsy. "Okay, sleepy time." I yawned again as Ruv followed me to our bedroom. Hex was practically asleep. The lights were off, and the only source of it came from outside the door.

"You sure you'll be fine on the ground?" I can assure you that it's not too comfy..." I questioned as Ruv sat down. "Yes. Thanks, Whitty." Ruv looked up at me with a stoic face. I closed the door behind me.

"Okay, then. Night, Ruv." I walked over to my bed and practically collapsed on it face-first. "Hm, night...comrade." The other laid down on his back and stared at the ceiling.

Now that my braincells are returning, I just realized- has he even cracked a smile, or laughed at our embarrassing home and my weird persona? No, I'm just overthinking this. Let's just tune down and count the bottles of gas-lighter fluid in my closet..

Later That Night...

I woke up to the sound of Ruv whimpering nearly inaudibly. How did I wake up to that..? I'm a deep sleeper! My brain inserted worries in my head uncontrollably.

Edging closer to the left side of my bed, I peered down to see his hands tugging at the sides of his hat.

"Hey, are you okay?" I lowered my arm to be ready to poke him if he doesn't respond.

My prediction was right when he shifted and said nothing. I nudged him with my fist. I yelped when swiftly turned back around and held onto my hand tightly. "Don't leave me." He muttered breathlessly.

I groaned silently. What did I do that made fate lead to this? Using my free hand, I pulled my blanket off and crept towards him to wake him up. There's no way we're staying like this!

"Come on Ruv, wake up!" I whisper-shouted as I fought him for my hand (I know, it sounds stupid if you ask me).

Fortunately, his eyes started flickering open. Thank god!

"Were you having a nightmare, Ruv?" I went where his peripheral vision could see me.

He jumped a bit, likely startled by how close I was. I mean, I can't blame him. It's currently...what? 3 AM?

"Sorry if you heard anything...I have bad dreams often." He let go of me as fast possible and took his hat off for the first time. I noticed the little trickle of sweat on his forehead. Furthermore, I couldn't help but want to pat the fluff of hair on his head. How does it look that soft!

"It's cool, man. Would you rather sleep next to me..?" I asked. The words came naturally, and I freaked out on the inside. Why am I so impulsive all of a sudden? We're both boys anyway. During my childhood, I slept with Hex when we had sleepovers!

He spoke to himself in what I presume Russian, then answered with a nod.

Ruv's Point of View

I admit, I became self-conscious after hearing that. Hopefully he didn't notice my face in the dark. I definitely saw his, though.
