Third Point of View
Ruv slowly walked home, acknowledging that he'd be greeted with the conflict of Sarv, Carol, Hex, and Whitty.
Why am I in all of this? Just for a guy? I'm not even gay...meh, who knows. Life's unpredictable. I don't recall having any interest in girls.
The Russian shrugged all of his questions off and decided to take in nature's air, squeezing his hat against his head.
Before he knew it, a lean and slender building stood in front of him, and he sighed.
I walk too fast.
Ascending the stairs, Ruv felt incoming anxiety that only occurred when his adrenaline kicked in during large fights.
Why now?
His hands slightly trembled along the balcony as they dragged onward. He felt another sensation of nervousness, and tried to stay calm.
"Okay, Ruv. Breath in and breath out, just as Sarv taught you." Ruv whispered. He could feel a small vibration coming from the floor he stood on.
"Ruv? You're back!" Ruv perked up, and saw his childhood friend standing in front of the door.
Mouth agape, he said, "I'm confused. Didn't you flee the house? I thought you didn't want to be here."
"Well, I thought it over, and I just want to deeply apologize." Sarv was planning to put her hand on the other's shoulder, but Ruv dodged her move.
"I accept. But that doesn't mean you can touch me all the time." Ruv responded.
"I- ugh....okay."
Now that she's out of the way...time to deal with the difficult part of this.
Ruv decided to visit Carol first. He knocked on the door softly. A southern...no, southwestern accent can be heard through the door.
"Come in, Whitty!"
It was awkward and uncomforting to be called someone else, so Ruv revealed his identity.
"Actually, it's Ruv."
"Oh."
Ruv hesitated at first, but he found the silence terrifying, so he went inside Carol's room. He looked around, as it was natural for him to examine his surroundings. Purple walls, neat posters of all genres and fandoms...overall, the place was neater than the rest of the household.
"Carol."
Carol didn't meet his eyes, but said, "Yeah, I know. You and Whitty are somethin' else."
Ruv didn't know what Carol would say, but he flushed.
"O-okay."
He found nothing else to say but to let Carol know of his existence, so he left, closing the door, and proceeded to enter the last stage of his problems.
"HAHA! I WIN!" Ruv heard Hex holler.
"NO, NOT FAIR! I SWEAR I HEARD SOME SORT OF RAT OR SOMETHING! I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION!"
Ruv's eyes widened, and he almost let out an airy laugh. He did not hear himself do it, but apparently, someone did.
"Alright, enough with speed. Someone's at our door."
Whitty got up from the wooden floor and his footsteps can be heard, thudding closer to Ruv. He never is scared of most things, but this caused him to have a mid-crisis in his head. You got this, right? Yes, you do. Stop doubting yourself!
At last, the door swung open, and Whitty looked down at his crush. "Hi." Ruv quickly greeted, then tugged on his ushanka to pacify himself.
"Hey, Ruv! What's up?" Whitty grinned, and Ruv felt a wave of relief and even adoration.
I thought he would've at least been mad at me. The conversation the other day was...
Ruv never finished his thoughts before Whitty pulled him in by his hand, gesturing him to the floor.
"Hiya Ruv!" Hex waved. He was still the same as ever.
"Hi, Hex."
. . .
In the end, things in this household nearly returned to normal. Ruv was sleeping on the floor as usual (although closer to Whitty's bed) and Carol accepted them a little more after Sarv gave her an apologetic lecture.
Through the phone that Sarv stole, Ruv got Tabi's number and called him the next day.
"Tabi."
"Ruv."
"Is the plan still going to continue?"
"Yes. It hasn't stopped, hasn't it?"
"Okay. I'll meet up with you and Agoti in a bit. Bye comrade.""Bye."
Ruv paced back and forth for a minute, thinking about how his "date" with Whitty will go.
Taking a minute to get himself together, he finally stated, "Alright. Ready."
. . .
"Hey bud, could you quit dragging me so hard?" Whitty felt his joints gradually dislocating as Ruv pulled him.
"Hmph. Fine." Ruv let go. He was nervous and acted quickly without thinking, so he thought that the best choice was to grab his friend and leave with no explanation.
"Okay, so we're hanging out with Tabi and Agoti." He let out.
"Ohh. You could've said so." Whitty smiled. Ruv shrugged and trudged on.
. . .
"Hey!" The two hear Agoti's voice in the distance.
"Yoo!" Whitty waved where his two friends could see, and walked over.
"I didn't know you were that close with them, Ruv." Whitty patted him on the head friendlily.
"Yeah, I guess they are my friends now." Ruv replied.
"Drinks are on me." Agoti smirked, walking back into his shop.
While Ruv and Whitty were settling down, Agoti placed their favorite drinks down. Tabi noticed the black coffee, so Agoti decided that Ruv really enjoyed it.
"Don't worry, it's free."
"Ah. Thanks a lot, AG." Whitty said happily.
As the red-hooded man left the table, he grabbed Tabi's sleeve and they discreetly left.
Ruv looked around quickly, and instantly noticed that his two friends were gone.
Hey, I thought that they were going to get to know me...Right, Tabi's Russian, he already knows 25% of me.
Whatever. Here I go. There's no backing out now.
