Lily POV
It's been a week since Riseva's death, and she didn't want a funeral. My friends and father called me every day to check on me. We all grieved for her in our own way. I have been placed on a leave of absence since the incident by Richard. The guys came over to check on me, even bringing me some food. I was wearing a long nightshirt, sitting at the dining room table, doing some work on my laptop when the guys came. They ignored the barely visible bite marks on my neck, but warmly greeted me.
I went to the bathroom to do my business, I was only there for five minutes when loud knocking on the bathroom door startled me. I quickly washed my hands, and opened the door to a scowling Richard. He grabbed my hand, gently pulled me into his family room, and sat me on the sofa. Marco and Dominique looked pissed while Jasen looked sad. "Who is WolfmanXXX3?" interrogated Dominique. "WolfmanXXX3 is my study buddy/chat room buddy/unofficial patient. I am a licensed mental health counselor/bartender trying to save enough money to have her own practice," I answered.
"How are you 22-years-old and a mental health counselor?" asked Marco. Jasen looked relieved but proud. "I used accelerated degree programs, and it even helped that I was an honor student. I am currently trying to get a certificate in addictions," I replied in a dry tone. "Why haven't you told us this before?" Richard asked in a gentler tone, like I am a child.
"We just started dating, and when I asked Richard if I was his Bride, he denied it. Besides, after all that has happened, we haven't even gotten to that part. My father and friends don't even know about it yet. WolfmanXXX3 is a psychiatrist I met online, and he has been helping me study," I said sheepishly.
There was a knock at the front door, which made Dominique rush to the door after sniffing loudly. He jerked the door open, and a beautiful, chocolate model in a business suit face-mushed him out of the way. "Move boy, I am here to meet my daughter-in-law and to discuss some business with her," Dominique's mother said. Judging by her smell and accent, she is an immortal human and Nigerian. I stood up and stuck out my right hand for her to shake.
"Hello, my name is Azuka Mendoza, I am Dominique's mother and Riseva's tax attorney. I'm here to kill two birds with one stone. How did you know Riseva?" she asked as she shook my hand. "We were work friends, we talked from time to time. I rescued her from a vampire several days ago," I said.
She pulled out papers from her jacket and unfolded the papers. "Would it surprise you that she left everything to you?" Azuka asked. I looked at her like she had two heads. "What did Riseva leave me?" I asked in a nervous manner. My guys perked up at what Azuka said. "Riseva left you her home, everything in her home, and $6,000,000 in her bank account," Azuka replied. I passed out after she said the amount of money.
