Birthday's came,
I wished for you.
New years went,
I wished for you.
A star was bright,
I wished for you.
A coin was flipped into a well,
I wished for you.
The time flies,
I wish for you.
I have food, water, shelter,
Clothes, books, and friends.
The perfect picture you wanted for me,
Almost complete.
All that's missing is
You.
But you're lucky if you leave the bed,
Lost to the thoughts in your head.
You belong to a beast I can't see, hear, or fight,
I know it keeps you up late at night.
But I need you, more than I can possibly say,
And I hope you find an escape one day,
But the more I try to fight for you, the deeper we both sink,
Everything hurts, I can barely think.
I can't let you convince me that this is my fault,
This is an illness I can't afford to be caught.
Nonetheless, throughout all the nights and days without,
I will only ever wish for...
YOU.

PoetryAll original poetry. I just have feelings, and I like to make them sound pretty. Purely self indulgent, but I hope you enjoy nonetheless.
