The Teen Avenger (Book 3) (Avengers X OC)

HYDRA base (1)

Mia's POV:

I was on my bike, Steve with his, as the Avengers raided a HYDRA base. Nat was driving a jeep with Clint in the back, standing and shooting arrows. Tony was in his suit, Thor was with his hammer and Bruce had turned into the Hulk. 

Thor was fighting a few agents when me and Steve burst through between them. I grabbed one with my hand, one arm on the bike. Steve doing the same and we dragged them along the ground as we drove. I then threw him towards  a tree, the agent banged against the it and he fell unconscious. Steve took the lead and threw his shield banging it off of agents and trees. We jumped from a small ledge and landed, driving on. He caught his shield and we drove to an edge where Hulk was as well. All the others came and we attacked the base together. Nat pressed the break on the jeep and Clint and her jumped off. We continued fighting as Toy flew to the base. 

'Shit!' I heard in my comms. 

'Language!' Steve's voice came through and I rolled my eyes. No matter how much I tried to get Steve in the modern world, he would always fix something or the other. I guess it's true, what they say, old habits die hard.

'JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?' He asked.

'The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken.' He said.

'Loki's sceptre must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defence without him. At long last' Thor said.

'At long last is lasting a little long boys.' Nat said and I let out a small chuckle. I used my powers and shook off a group of agents coming at me. I saw a big truck heading my way and I flipped, grabbing the bike and throwing it towards the truck. It crashed and I rolled out of the way. I got a few explosives from my suit and threw it towards groups of agents around me.

'Yeah, I think we lost the element of surprise.' Clint said.

'You think? You really need some observation skills.' I joked as I stabbed some agents and tackled some to the ground. 

'Please, do you know what I do for a living?' Clint said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. I just rolled my eyes, not replying back.

'Wait a second. Is no one going to deal with the fact that Cap just said, 'Language'?' Tony asked.

'I know, it just slipped out.' He said. I looked over to him and he had done the same with the bike as I had done mine. 

'Sir, the city is taking fire.' JARVIS's voice came through. 

'Well, we know Strucker's not going to worry about civilian casualties.' I said in my comms.

'Send in the Iron Legion.' Tony said. I looked in the sky and saw a few androids flying towards the city. I got behind a tree and got a few grenades out. I removed the pin to one and threw it to a bunker that was bothering me. It got blasted to shreds in seconds. I did the same to a few others and went to Steve.

'Clint!' I heard Nat call out with my super hearing. I turned to look around but I got knocked down by something. I looked up and saw nothing, just a streak of blue light.

'We have an enhanced in the field.' Steve said, getting up.

'Clint's hit!' I heard Nat's voice in the comms. 

'Somebody wanna deal with that bunker?' Nat asked. Suddenly Hulk smashed it into pieces.

'Thank you.' She muttered. I heard Clint groaning in the comms.

'Stark! We really need to get inside.' I said as I knocked agents to the ground. I put a few. to sleep by going inside their minds.

'Drawbridge is down people.' Tony announced after a few seconds. Steve got his shield from the ground with magnets attached to his suit. Thor landed beside us, smashing his hammer to the ground.

'The enhanced?' He asked

'He's a blur. With all the new players we've faced, I've never seen this. In fact, I still haven't.' Steve said as we jogged to  Thor. 

'Clint's hit pretty bad guys, we're gonna need evac.' Nat said.

'I can get Barton to the jet, the sooner we're gone, the better. You two and Stark secure the sceptre.' Thor said.

'Copy that.' 

'They're lining up.' I said, looking at the agents coming towards us.

'Well, they're excited.' Steve said as he held his shield up. Thor hit his hammer on it and summoned lightning. After the first time the two met, I told them to practice that since it could be useful. Turns out, it did.

'Find the sceptre.' Thor said and flew away. We nodded.

'And for gosh sake. Watch your language!' Stark said and I chuckled while Steve looked down in defeat.

'That's not going away any time soon.' He said. I laughed and patted his shoulder. We then ran towards the base, dodging hits and taking down agents.

'We're locked down out here.' Nat's voice came through after a few minutes.

'Then get to Banner, time for a lullaby.' Steve said. We went in through a window and Steve knocked out an agent as we walked in a room.

'Baron Strucker. HYDRA's no. 1 thug.' Steve said.

'Technically, I'm a thug for S.H.I.E.L.D.' He said making me roll my eyes.

'Well then technically you're unemployed. Where's Loki's sceptre?' I asked.

'Don't worry, I know when I'm beat. You'll mention how I cooperated I hope.' He said.

'I'll put it right under Illegal Human Experimentation. How many are there?' Steve asked. Just then, I turned and saw a girl with brunette hair. She shot red energy towards us. Steve and me tumbled down the stairs that were behind us. I quickly looked up and she was gone.

'We have a second enhanced. Female. Do not engage.' Steve said. I just glared at Strucker.

'You'll have to be faster tha-' Strucker started to say but Steve knocked him out with his shield.

'Guys, we've got Strucker.' I said in my comms.

'Yeah, I got... something bigger.' Tony said. After a few seconds, he spoke again.

'Thor, I got eyes on the prize.' Tony said but got silent all of a sudden. He confirmed it and we got in the jet.
