Dawn

I'm walking through the sand... Here I am on this seashore again. The place where we last met. This place feels like her. The cold breeze feels like her last touch, it may be too cold but it's soothing and calming.

"Lucy! Can you hear me?!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

"She can't." a smaller girl than me appeared in my sight, her medium length hair was dancing with the wind and it just looked wonderful.

"Who are you?" I still asked even if she's kinda familiar to me.

"I am Eleanor but you can just call me Elle." she smiled so brightly and placed her hand in front of me.

"Why are you here?" I asked again without breaking my stare in her face.

"Because it's a public place? Don't be stupid girl, don't ask that question when you're in a public place. You'll soon to be Archi--"

"You know a lot about me..." I shrugged and sat down.

"It's not like what you're thinking girl." She rolled her eyes but smiled again.

"You don't know what I'm thinking." I pretend she's not around and stare at the moon. She placed something in my ears and I heard someone's singing.

"Tell me what are your thoughts about the song." I looked at her, I couldn't believe it. How can she act like we're close?

For a moment, I follow what she says. I'm listening to someone and I pictured in my mind she's the one who's singing all along. She has a beautiful voice and the song is new to me...did she record it? Sing it herself?

"You're an artist?" I asked but she just laughed and said no eventually.

"No, I was asked the same question for thousand times, you know? you don't have to be an artist if you want to showcase your talent, right? You can do it without a title, every time and everywhere."

"You have a point."

"Of course. So... your thoughts?" she smiled again.

"Hmm, it sounds wonderful. Your voice fits the song. It'll be great if you continue." I suggested and before I could give her back the earphone she played a song again.

"This is one of my favorite songs." I just nod and look up at the sky.

"What if someone left you and now they're coming back?"

"I'll seek for an explanation first. If my heart's ready to forgive then it is."

"What if just now you feel tired?"

"You can just spill the tea. That Lucy left you and now she's coming back. Ang tanong, babalik ba for you?" I look at her unbelievably. She's damn serious. This girl... she's something.

" 'Wag ka nang magsalita ang bastos ng bunganga mo." She just laugh at me.

She starts to tell me stories and in return I tell her some of my stories too. In the meantime I didn't think of her, it's just Elle's funny stories. We get along easily even though our personalities are the opposite of each other. She's very talkative, but still classy...and I had fun. We're now walking through the sand and she's still sharing a story. She says when she was in Canada her friends invited her to go to a party. Since she's still young she brought ice cream and chocolates and even wore a colorful dress, but what makes her shocked is it's not a party but a funeral, everyone laughs at her and after that she's not friends with those girls and even got them in the dean's office.
