04: why's

I spent my night with my mother. I stayed a little longer awake, thinking about Lucy's arrival. I have a lot of thoughts going on in my mind. She already achieved her dream. I start to work for my final plates and everything I need to pass for the completion. Next week will be our finals and I'm kinda excited. I am near to reaching my dream too. I took a leave from the VNC, Serene and Lana are busy too so here I am, eating in my unit alone. Lana would come if she's not busy. I took a picture of what I cooked and posted it on ig and messaged them if they had already eaten their lunch. I don't have anything to do...

"Hello Elle?"

"Hey Dawn, aren't you busy? I thought your department's having the completion of final plates?" she asks.

"Actually yes, it's our completion week, but I already finished half of it. Wanna eat outside? or what do you want? If it's okay with you."

"If you help me out with my notes, why not?" I heard her laugh at the end and say she's just joking. I said okay and I'll pick her up in her dorm. I know a place good for studying, it was built based on students.

I prepared my things. I plan to make my other requirements there, except my plates. I left my unit, wearing comfortable clothes. We're not going to a fancy restaurant in the first place. It's funny because after many years, I choose to have a new friend. We're quite different from each other, but we clicked. I text her when I'm in the parking lot, I guess she's ready? I was busy playing Minecraft when someone knocked on my car's window.

"Hey." I greet her with a smile and help her with her things. She has a lot?

"You're not planning to finish everything in one seat, are you?" I asked and laughed a bit. We're off to go now, she nods and I guess she's serious...did I just get myself into trouble?

I start to drive slowly and make it faster when we're in the middle of the road. She's telling me how she procrastinates each time of year's completion. I laughed hard when she said she mastered it. She even play songs and sing along. We're like having a trip all around the city. We arrived at Ate Jo and Ate Nami's cafe where you can see the city below since it's located on the higher ground of the city.

"How did you discover a place like this? I really think you're a homebody." she asks and roams around this little room, the cafe's VIP room.

"It's my friends' cafe. Actually, we used to do something like this here, studying with the gang and such. My friends are not here yet, I only saw their head manager."

"Who planned all of it? And why here? They can build this cafe in the middle of the city."

"We have all been planning it since we were kids. They're also making deliveries and this whole place fits the theme of the cafe."

"Yeah right. It's really relaxing here."

While we're waiting for our order, I placed my things above the table and Elle did the same. We still talk and start to work on our activities. I choose to finish mine before helping Elle. She plays a song on her phone and I like it, I like her taste. Someone knocked and entered the room eventually.

"Ate Jo!" I stood up and get our order from her.

"Ow, you have a stud-ate?" she grins and I see Elle turn.

"Hello! I am Eleanor." she introduced herself and clung her hand to my arm. Eh?

"You're Dawn's?" she asks.

"Friend. I'm her friend."

"Great. I'll leave now. Enjoy your meals." Ate Jo left and Elle returned to her seat.
