Dawn

I hear my alarm yet I can't turn it off 'cause my head still feels heavy. This is my cousin's fault, I lost a bet and in return I can't say no to her. This is frustrating, how come I lost a bet?

"Ate Dawn, turn off your alarm!" Lana's voice echoes. I manage to get up and turn it off even though it's really hard, uh my head really hurts.

"Lana, get up. You'll be late." I knocked on her room's door  before I walk my way to the bathroom.

"It's okay." she groaned, like saying she doesn't wanna talk 'cause she will sleep again. She's really spoiled because she can just go in and out of the University whenever she wants.

"Solana Shin. Hindi na kita sagot kapag napagalitan ka na naman ni Uncle." I went inside the bathroom and take a bath. She murmured something but I don't understand what it is.

Once I stepped out from the bathroom I remembered something. Last night, someone tried to kidnap me. It's funny because the girl looks cute and I think I saw her somewhere. She lost herself because of too much alcohol and to stop her from doing stupid things I gave her my number, 'cause I know when she's on her sane status she'll forget it, but I think I am the one who forgot about it. I can't clearly remember her face. I look for my jacket that I wore last night. It's on the couch and my phone is there. I used to be alone here but Lana visits sometimes or should I say she lives here like a boarder? She's like my roommate here because she had the spare key and card of my unit. My best friend, Serene, lives a unit away.  

I prepared for our breakfast. I know Lana won't join me so I just packed some food for me and also for her. She's still sleeping, 'that kid.' I left a note before I went out. As I turn my phone on, there are lots of messages from my classmates in our group chat, but what caught my attention is my Mom's missed calls and texts. She said someone saw us and told her immediately after that 'someone' confirmed it was me and Lana. Though I don't believe her, it's not just someone, it's her bodyguards. They're always eyeing me. She nags a lot but I do love her so much. I'm in my last year in college. I think the real pressure will come after I pass the Board Exam. I can't wait to be an Architect, I want to prove that my decision is not wrong. 

It's been five years since I got disowned by my father. When I was a kid I only had two choices of what course I should take in the future. It's either Business or anything related to Medicine. My father's a well-known Doctor and my Mom is a businesswoman. They ran our chain of Hospitals together. I was really confused at the time, but she brought out my passion in Arts. Then the time comes when I'm not sure if I will pursue my passion or just let them decide for me. She came and encouraged me, she became the key to why I'm here. 

I'm riding the bus and people around me are sleeping while me, reading a book and eating my breakfast. I left my car at our university's parking lot yesterday because Lana fetched me up. My class starts at 7:00 am and after a lot of subjects my school day ends at 5:00 pm. After my class I will go to my part-time job as a choreographer and trainer in VNC Entertainment. I used my salary for my daily needs, school needs and savings. I have a scholarship that makes half of my tuition fee paid each year. I even joined the Arts Club and our University's always invited to exhibitions. Lately, I sell my artwork and the University claims it as my whole payment for this year. I'm also part of ArchiHelp. We're a bunch of aspiring Architects tutoring freshmen in our field from different schools. I have been saving my money for the past years because I want to build a firm after I become an architect.

When I arrived, I saw Bonnie and Alex waiting for me. It's been a while since we all gathered up. They had a busy schedule just like me. Bonnie was a year older than me and Alex so she graduated already and became an official artist of VNC Ent. She trained for 6 years and after her graduation she debuted as a solo artist. On the other hand our nerdy friend, Alex, took nursing but stopped eventually because she needed to go to Austria. When Alex came back 3 years ago she started over again. We're all been friends since we were kids because of our family's connection. Same goes to Serene because of her older sister, Seah. She's also the reason why me and Lucy... became close.
