The headmaster of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, or in simpler words Albus Dumbledore, walked along the long corridor of rooms of permanent residents of the hospital.

The patients who someday have a chance of making through, but without magic, to the world of living resides in the fourth floor of the St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

Dumbledore went up to a room at the end of the corridor. This one was personal quarters, where two people reside in the adjoining beds.

Albus walked up to the bed, nodding to the old healer who was working some spells on the two individuals. He waited for her to finish before speaking, "No change, I expect."

The motherly witch nodded serenely as she walked out of the room to check on the other permanent patients.

Dumbledore walked to one side of the bed and stared at the man, who watched him with a blank expression. The witch beside him was looking around the room with the same expression. To anyone, it'd like she was mesmerized by the walls the fan, the lamps, and whatnot, but Dumbledore knew better.

"I'm so sorry that you've to be here in such circumstances. I know I did everything to protect you guys, but sometimes, even everything is not enough" He said to the two people who gave them less than the least attention.

"I know you don't remember me or anyone for that matter. But one day, I hope, you'll walk out of this hospital fully restored, totally well."

"Meanwhile, allow me to take a leave. And yeah, by the way, your son's doing great. He's loved. He's safe, He turned six years old last month." Dumbledore turned around and walked to the door of the quarters.

He turned around on reaching the door frame and muttered, "Come around soon, Neville's waiting for you". With that, he exited the room that was named Longbottoms.

He walked to the room few steps away from the one he was there and entered another private quarters.

There were two healers working on the two patients in the room. One male and one female, patients, and healers.

Albus walked to the chivalrous wizard on the bed nearest to the door. He watched as the healer worked on waking the wizard up. The same they'd been trying for the last five years.

The beautiful woman on the next bed was in no different condition, except for the occasional tears that leaked through her eyes every once in a while.

"We're on the verge of giving up on them, sir. It's been five years almost. The only signs they're living is the faintest beats of their hearts" The female healer mentioned.

"When given a chance between life and death, One should just never give up on life. I know it must be tiring for you all, but trust the old man who taught you here. I believe they'll make it through. We just had to give them time because none of us know how did this happen." Dumbledore said to the healers.

"It's not like as if we want to avoid working on them, sir. I'll be lying if I say I, personally, didn't like the two of them and their chemistry through their years in Hogwarts. It's just that, we prefer not to have false hope" The male healer spoke for the first time.

"I know, but remember, my dears, thoughts may be false, but hope isn't" Dumbledore clarified as he gave one last look to the sleeping Potters and walked out of the room, nodding to the two healers.
