30th JULY 1981, 1 day before harry's first birthday.

If the normal days were busy in Potter household, then it was nothing compared to what it was today.

James had already run several errands around the village, sometimes for getting something he forgot, or sometimes just because Lily wanted him out of the house for some quietness.

Mikey and Minnie were working on cleaning the house for the big day tomorrow. So, that makes James the only available for Lily to dance around.

Currently, Lily was deciding on the decorations for tomorrow and James was trying to give his suggestions but in vain.

"No means no in every other dictionary available on the planet, Jamie. We are not having an animal theme party and no magical creatures would be brought in this house, it is apparent, isn't it." Lily spoke exasperated.

"But lils, just think how amazing it'd be for Harry to look around the room full of animals. We'll introduce everyone as the animals they've become." James argued.

"And allow Sirius to run around the house as a dog. No chance." Lily countered.

"Okay, I'll spellbind him. Now..." He said with raised eyebrows.

"N-O-, NO" Lily chanted again.

"Oh, come on, Lily flower, I'll sleep on the couch for the weekend." Janes tried again but with the same result.

"Do you want no sex for the rest of the year... " When he didn't answer but gave her a blank look, she continued, "well, I think you have sorted out your priorities." With that, she wrote something in a list in her hand and went off to Harry playing with blocks.

"Hey, my sweetie, how're you doing." She cooed at him.

"Mama" He said and indicated a red block away from him.

"You want that" Lily picked it up and handed it to him.

Harry took the red block and laughed as he brought it closer to him.

"Oh, that's Potter blood, he's already taken by red shades" James complimented as he watched his son playing with red block.

"Stop hallucinating, Jamie, That's because it's his mother's hair shade, not coz of some made up convention of your family" Lily argued him while cuddling her boy.

"If you say so, wifey, but just remember your these words in future" James said as he smirked at her when she wasn't looking.

"Now how about that guest list we were preparing" He asked her.

"Yeah, let's do it" She beckoned him towards her on the rug where she was with Harry.

James and Lily spent another half an hour discussing the guests to be invited. Due to safety precautions, they were trying to keep the list as short as possible. The guests who are supposed to be there would be provided with the Portkeys to travel to the house for the party.

This Portkeys were personally delivered by Dumbledore or the host family itself. They had received their own invite Portkey by Longbottoms yesterday morning.

Lily was deciding on her dress to wear to Neville's birthday party this evening. She had put on at least seven until now, but nothing had her acceptance.
