At 8:40 I was ready to leave for my first day of school. But school only started at 9:00, and it would take me about 10 minutes to get to school. So I waited in the kitchen. I was wearing a shirt with a vest over it  to hide my cuts. My vest was a simple pale blue colour. My skinny jeans were  black, and I was going to wear my blue converse.

When it was about 8:50 AKA ten minutes later, I left for school. I drove a little slowly. I didn't feel like going to school. It was November, which meant that summer wasn't here yet, and wasn't going to be for a while.

I had visited Magee Secondary about a week ago, with my dad. So everything was already figyred out, my schedule, my locker, and I had a small tour of the school, but of course I didn't quite remember anything.

I spent about 15 minutes looking for my locker. Locker 404. I had left my schedule in my locker. I tried to remember what day it was supposed to be today, but I just didn't remember. A guy passed by. He seemed to be in a hurry. Which didn't surprise me, seeing as he was 15 minutes late.

"Ummmm...sorry...?" I asked

"Yes?" they guy replied.

"What day are we today?" I asked nervously. "I'm new here."

"Oh! We're day 8, may I see your schedule?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"Sure" I replied in the same smiling tone.

I showed him my schedule, and saw a smile start to form on his lips.

"You have english right now, just like me. Oh and by the way, my name is Josh"

"My name is Hayley"

He was pretty good looking, he was skinny and had brown hair. I got my stuff for english class and we walked together. English wasn't that far from my locker, which was a good thing, because we were already twenty minutes late.

When we got to class, the english teacher, who's name Josh had told me was Mr. Davis, was silently sitting at his desk. The people in the class were quietly reading books. Mr. Davis looked up at us.

"Not the first time you're late, Mr.Ramsay" Mr. Davis said. Then he addressed himself to me. "I don't recommend you start talking Mr.Ramsay's habits here. But welcome to the school." He smiled at me. Then he gave me and Josh a copy of Romeo and Juliet, because apparently that's what we were currently studying.

The day went by pretty quickly. It was currently lunch. I was walking to my locker. Alone. And it sucked. I missed Kyla and London so much, even though I had seen Kyla yesterday. It was weird not having them at school with me.

I was stuffing my books in my locker, when someone cleared their throat behind me. I turned around, kind of surprised. It was Josh.

''Hi." He said.

"Hi." I replied. I really didn't know where this was going.

"So what are you doing?" he asked, a small smile reaching his lips.

"Well, I was...putting my stuff away...I guess..." Wow. I was really terrible at socializing with people I didn't really know.

"Well now you're coming with me" his smile had turned into a grin.

I didn't have much time to protest before he locked my locker and pulled me by the arm. He brought me outside to where this other guy was standing. The guy had brown messy hair, and I have to admit, he was kind of cute.

"You got yourself an unlucky somebody drag around Josh?" the guy said, chuckling.

"Shut up Matt" Josh said, glaring at him.

So apparently this guy was named Matt. I tried smiling at him, but it turned out to be awkward. Cause i'm just awkward.

"Matt, this is Hayley, or my so called unfortunate somebody"

"I prefer the term unfortunate victim" I said, a smile forming on my lips. Matt laughed a little at my remark, more to himself. Josh gave him another glare, which made him laugh a little harder.

I spent the rest of lunch with Matt and Josh, just hanging out. The rest of the day went by pretty quickly. I was at my locker, about to close it, when Josh came by.

"Hey Hayley!" He greeted me.

"Hey!" I said.

"So...there's a party at one of my friend's house on Saturday...do you wanna go with me?" He asked. I thought about it for a few seconds. I wasn't sure I really felt like going. But why not? It would give me something to do.

"Sure." I replied, smiling.

"Okay, I'll pick you up at your house on Saturday night" He told me.

Okay...But you don't know where I live and...no offense but you look like the type of guy who would end up in a bush in nowhere land if I just give you an address and leave you to yourself..." I said, slightly teasing him.

"In a bush? I think I'd end up in a sky scraper" He replied.

"But there are no sky scrapers in nowhere land" I said, giving him a playful puzzled look.

"I'll make one" He sort of mumbled in a triumphant voice. "Anyways, the point is that I'm bringing you home tonight so I know where you live"

"What am I gonna do with my car? I can't just leave it at school..." I said.

"Then I'll follow you" He said in a creepy voice.

"Stalker" I said, and we headed out for our cars.

When we got home, Josh parked in my driveway, behind me.

"So this is where you live?" He asked.

"No, this is my gnome factory. Yes Josh, this is where I live."

"A gnome factory? Really? Couldn't you have found anything better?" He said, smiling.

"Hush now. This is where I live. Now I allow you to go home" I said, giving him a teasing smile.

"Chasing me away are you?" He said while giving me a hip bump.

"Awwwww, how could I chase away an adorable Josh creature like you?" I said, chuckling. He gave me big smile, then hugged me.

"Bye Hayley, see you tomorrow" He said.
