"I always thought that the first time I'd be on my knees I'd be praying..." I held my breath lowering myself to my knees in front of him,
"Then worship," he smirked, "what do you desire?"

I awoke early the next morning, or at least I thought it was early because apparently everyone in this damn house wakes up before 5:30. Which is incredibly early within itself, I already knew that this place would kill me.
I trudged downstairs in my pyjamas placing Levita the hat onto my head, my eyes were probably all puffy from sleep but I didn't care. The sweet scent of freshly baked goods engulfed my senses, the sound of bacon frying on a pan was enough to send me down the stairs like a bat out of hell. The lights in the dining room were on and the very second I walked in all eyes were on me, I blame the hat.
I recognized all the faces in the room from the photographs in the file papa gave me. Rune; the white-haired, beady-eyed hacker with a knack for getting himself into trouble.
Sade; the daughter of the US president, is far more stunning in person, I must say. Martina; daughter of the assistant secretary to the Czechoslovakian communist party. Also, insanely gorgeous, her hair was long and she had curtain bangs across her face that led you to her big green eyes that practically pinned you in place.
"Ah rise and shine deary!" Patricia welcomed pulling out a chair beside Blythe for me, "did you have a good nights sleep?"
"I had a dream I was being chased by the undead so no." I clarify, "the food looks wonderful."
"I'm sorry..." Martina asked as I then realized everyone's eyes were still on me, "but who are you?"
"And why are you here?" Rune adds, "pardon my tone of it comes across as unwelcoming but we had no idea that we were expecting a new student."
"I'm here on a scholarship." I tell them, "my name is Nadya Petrov and I'll be here for the next semester."
"Here in Marx House?" Sade asks curiously, as though the very possibility that I'd be here every moment of every day with them sounded surreal.
"Yes, I'm Blythe's roommate." I respond matter of factly, "I'm sorry- is there a problem?"
"No no no none at all." Rune exasperates scratching the back of his head, "Whatever Elvis says goes these days."
