When we arrive the cabin I'm taken aback by how beautiful it is; it's made of oak and has vines tangling up its walls, it's small but has a sense of home that is undeniable, the windows are wide, black-rimmed and open, there are sliding glass doors and a view of the lake nearby which was only a walk away.

I shifted my gaze to Niklaus, to his silvery-blue eyes that held the subtle gentleness of the swans that fluttered across the lake yet the ferocity and sapience of heavenly fire. There was this serenity yet vehemence about him that contorted his very being into a never-ending enigma. I've never encountered a mere man who held such grace yet strength. He was mighty in the way that the ocean was, gracious enough to give life yet malevolent enough to drown it away.

He opened up the boot of the car and began to take out our suitcases....well my suitcases and his suitcase. Which for the record I packed because he's hopeless.
I glanced around us to make sure no one was near or watching, then I proceeded to stand on my tallest tiptoes and attach my lips to his, he's taken aback by this sudden action but he sucks in a sharp breath and kisses me back longingly.

His eyes are still shut when I pull away as if to savour the moment, I capture the image in my mind.

"Why don't you ever...kiss me?" I ask him and he pinched the bridge of his nose as if he were expecting the question to come sooner or later. "Do you not like me anymore or-"

"Jesus Nadya doesn't say that, you know I adore you." He responds placing his hands on either side of my face searching my eyes for any hint of uncertainty, "you do know this right?"

"Then I don't understand, why are you not affectionate with me when the others are around, why don't you kiss me?" I ask him and he sighs deeply,

He's so much taller than me so he has to bend down to whisper in my ear, his voice is like electricity cascading down my spine when he says, "because if I did I know where all of that would lead to."
