Tyler and his pack crept steadily towards Dylan's pack on the hillside. It was very heavily guarded later and they decided it was best to distract and reach inside the castle and then get their daughter out safely. He watched from a distance as Caitlin walked up to the guards.

"Goodnight."

Caitlyn said as the guard opened the gate to her. It was common knowledge inside the castle that she was his mate, even though he had yet to claim her. Caitlyn walked up to the guard, trying to distract him, and from the looks of things it worked. She held his neck and snapped it quickly and quietly. Beta Chuck move forward and removed his body from public view.

"Okay let's go around the back."

Caitlyn said as they obeyed and walked through the castle down to the prison cells where her niece and her mate were being held.

"It's happening."

Essence said as Cameron looked at her skeptically.

"What's happening?"

Cameron asks as Essence smiles.

"My mom is here, and boy is she mad."

Essence said as Cameron hugged her.

"It's going to be fine Essence."

Cameron said as Essence shook her head.

"No, it isn't going to be two people are going to die today."

Essence said as Cameron held her closer.

"It doesn't matter because you won't be one of them."

Cameron said as they watch Jade walk in.

"Oh my God, who the hell is that?"

Cameron asked her terrified as an Essense smiled.

"My mom."

Essence said as she watched her mother break down the bars.

'Get on you two!'

Summer said through to the mind link. Essence quickly climb down as Cameron covered away.

"It's okay Cameron, I want to let anything hurt you."

Essence said and she helps with her hand to him. Cameron hurriedly talk her hand and climbed onto Summer's back. Summer started to Sprint through the battle. A brown wolf spotted them and someone was sure that was it as he was going for her jugular. But Cameron held up his hand.

"Freeze."

He showed it as his hand emitted snow and Frost and froze the soldier on the spot.

'How did he do that?'

Summer asked Essence through the mind link.

'I don't know but isn't he just the cutest.'

Essence said as Summer rolled her eyes and continued to sprint away from danger.

'Okay kids, I need you to stay here I have to help. Do not move as I'll mind link Cassandra to get you.'

Summer said as she kissed Essence and Cameron.

'Now stay and hide, Essence mask both your scents like I thought you okay. I love you.'

Summer said as Essence and Cameron crawled into a hollow tree.

"I love you too mom."

Essence said as Summer gather some leaves in her palm and hid them. Please dear moon goddess let them be safe. As she sprinted off to the heat of the battle.

The gruesome sight before him is not something that could ever be easily described. Blood, gruel, bones, and body littered the entire field. She looked and saw Damon fighting off a hoist of enemy wolves, tearing through them mercilessly. Then Summer saw her sister being cornered by a lone wolf...Dylan. As soon as he was about to attack, Jade pounced on him in mid-air.

'Leave my sister alone.'

Jade said as Dylan laughed.

'Child, you are so naive, do you think you can win a battle like this against your father?'

Alpha Dylan asked as the blood of dreams from her face.

'You were my mother's mate, you are my father?'

Jade asks and he nodded.

'Well, I'm not the daughter of a vicious cruel animal like you.'

Summer said as Dylan stared at her again but this time she was quick enough to move out of the way. She launched her attack, grabbing his neck and lodging her canines into it.

'Stupid child.'

Dylan said as he launched again biting into the underside of her belly. Jade fell to the ground making out a painful howl

'Any last words, daughter?'

Just then Damon barreled into him and knocked him off of Summer. Growling and snarling he stopped to check on Summer, licked her belly, and then turn to Dylan and launched at him. Bitting him in the scruff of his neck and tearing a huge chunk of his flesh off of his body. Damon opened a mind link with Alpha Dylan.

'You threaten my mate, hurting her, you captured my pup, you forced my sister-in-law to do things she would normally have done, then you challenge me, you are a dead wolf.'

Damon as he took full control of Tyler. He rushed at Dylan ripping him to shreds with his teeth and his claws. He didn't heed his whines for help and tore deeper into his flesh, pulverizing his bones and marrow. Damon tore him apart until he was dead, and didn't stop even though she knew there would be repercussions. An earth-shattering scream echoed through the air. Tyler regained control of Damian. He turned and looked straight into their eyes of Caitlyn. He had unknowingly condemned her to death. A pregnant wolf cannot survive the pain of losing a mate. She and the pup had little or no chance of surviving. Damon relinquishes control over Tyler as he holds signifying the death of their leader. The fight was won. Tyler had lost a few pack members, including his Beta Chuck, but that was the price of war.

"Summer, get Essence, it's time to go home."

Dylan said as he lifted Caitlyn in his arms.

"What are you going to do with her?"

Summer asked as Tyler prepared to run.

"Try and save her."
