'Two are better than one.'- Ecclesiastes 4:9

A few weeks later...

"I'm so glad to be back going back home"

Essence said as Cameron nodded in agreement. School had been hell but they made it through together.

"I couldn't agree with you more. If I see the word Michael economics again I swear I'm going to explode."

Cameron said as Essence laughed at his silliness.

"Are you sure that it's a good idea to invite Rowan and Lulu? You know her Rambo shows they can get. What if we turn furry?"

The essence of Cameron thought to himself.

"We love being in a Forrest, so seeing wolves isn't uncommon. We just need to be careful not to change, in front of them and we'll be fine."

Cameron said as Essence wondered if everything will be fine. She couldn't help shake the feeling of apprehension she had when it came to the pair of siblings, but she guess she was willing to reply to her mate. They all got into the car and made the journey home...

... Two hours and as soon as they parked the car Theodore came rushing up to Essence.

"Oh my God, where are you back already?"

Theodore complained. He was such a drama King. She knew he had missed them. She turned on and ruffled his hair.

"I miss you too, Theo."

Summer said as she watched Theodore and Cameron do a man-hug type thing. The two were brothers. They have been together all their lives. But it was good to have them home.

"And for these persons with you?"

Summer asked looking at them suspiciously. She just had an odd feeling about them. When humans are in the presence of werewolves, they usually feel anxious, nervous, fidgety, and submissive. These two people were not that. There were some things off about this pair. Humans usually shied away from making direct eye contact with them, but these humans were brave and bold enough to do so. There was something that just wasn't adding up with these too. They looked like a duck, sounded like a duck, but they were not ducks.

"These are our friends we met at college; Rowan and Lulu."

Essence said by way of introduction. Summer's motherly instincts were going off. These people are what they appear to be. She was sure of it. But she could play the game better than most...she invented it. She had been a werewolf for all her life, and with that came a certain level of cautiousness when it came to dealing with a human. She was the daughter of an Alpha (whether he was rouge or not is a moot point. At the end of the day he was still an Alpha), the adopted daughter of a Beta, and now Luna of the pack. She needed to approach the situation with caution.

"A pleasure to meet you. So how do you know Cameron and Essence?"

Summer asked trying to figure out their intentions.

"We met on the first day of college. We are their next-door neighbor."

Rowan said freighting a smile as he walked up to Summer.

"How coincidental."

Summer said as she turned to the female and observed her. She looked as if she worked out. She was cagey around him and that in and of itself convinced her they were not what they seemed to be. Suddenly Alpha Tyler got up and walked toward Summer.

"Honey, are you okay? I sense your anxiety through our mate bond."

Alpha Tyler said as he wrapped his arms around her. He had used the word mate bond and the two didn't even flinch. 'It was a term that both of them were already familiar with.' Summer realizes that she decided to kiss her fear even further.
