Author's Note: This is my own version of the tree from Dreamtale. This version of the tree is not canon to Dreamtale.
There is a world with a sentient tree. Well, more than one world with a sentient tree but that is not the point! For the tree is the tree, no matter what people or monsters may say. The tree needs no unnecessary title. ...Though one title may be accurate.
Say that this tree would like to have children. The children could help defend the tree. And not just regular tree children, actual children. Some may think it impossible, but this tree has many more abilities than sentience!
This tree knows of many things. This tree knows of other worlds even! You see, this tree has found the perfect body for it's children. The tree only needs to replicate it.
This tree knows many things, so it knows. It knows! It knows that one purely positive child will be taken advantage of- Therefore! Therefore, it shall find a SOUL that shall not be so easily fooled. A strong SOUL to protect it's parent.
And... Oh.
This tree has been gifted a SOUL.
It takes a glance at the SOUL.
This will do. The SOUL is a bit jaded. Despite this, this tree will take care of the SOUL.
...This tree knows many things. This tree knows that this will be significant.
...This tree knows that this SOUL was chosen by someone. This tree will accept the child. This tree will raise it as it's own.
