Crossing the Line

"Will this work?" Hermione asked with a shy smile on her face. Referring to her choice of clothing.

She wore a blue elbow-length blouse. It was only buttoned up halfway revealing a black tank. The top was well fitted and revealed very little of the top of her breasts even with his height. He did not intentionally look but he could see this out of his peripheral when he gave her a once over. However, if she bent down it would be another story. It wasn't scandalous in nature, however, it was surely different from her collar high shirts or jumpers. She wasn't one for conservatism but she was always dressed modestly. Abiding by the wizarding world's favouritism on traditionalism. She also wore a pair of tight form-fitting dark-washed pants and a pair of boots. Her hair was pulled back into some sort of braid. But even though he could see her face more clearly with her hair pulled back he preferred it when it hung loose framing her face. Wild and untamed.

Severus knew he was screwed when he began to physically desire her. This moment being it.

She was always pretty by traditional standards. But her beauty to him always stemmed from her personality. That never translated to physical desire though. Until now. The attraction he could be feeling for her could simply because they were in close quarters. They spend hours with one another each night. Tonight being no exception. The only difference was that tonight they would be outside the confines of Hogwarts and the school grounds. And perhaps the change of scenery was getting to him. Or because it has been a long time since he experienced physical intimacy and human contact.

But he only half-heartedly believed that.

The full moon was about to rise in the next hour. They were on their way to North York Moors National park. Hoping that their intel and research were correct. That the clue was right and that the full moon would lift the glamour charm hiding the Temple of doom. This would be the first time they would be working together outside of a lab-based environment. They would be experiencing unknown physical terrain and were dressed for such. This was also going to be the first time he would be accompanied while he was on a mission. He was nervous to put it lightly though he didn't show it. He knew what he was capable of under stressful situations. And though he knew what Hermione had done during her previous years. He had never seen her up close and personal while she was in these situations. Whether that being emotional stress or while she was fighting for her life. But he wasn't disappointed by how prepared she was.

Though he did appreciate her choice of clothing and their practicality for the mission ahead he did wonder if it would leave him vulnerable to distractions. She also carried a small rucksack carrying the essentials in case of an emergency.

Swallowing thickly he replied, "Yes that will do." It was going to be a long night.

It wasn't just her clothes or how they showed the outline of her body that made his blood rush. It was also her excitement. She had a shy smile but was practically bouncing on the ball of her feet. Her enthusiasm excited him.

Though he was 20 years older than her it wasn't too uncommon for such an age difference to be found in relationships in the wizarding world. 20 years didn't mean much when both of them would live to 130 anyways. There were no rules preventing student-teacher relationships in the wizarding world. In fact, they were completely accepted especially when in the form of apprenticeships. As long as the student in question was of legal age. And Hermione Granger was of legal age in both the wizarding and muggle world. He took into consideration her muggle ancestry. For she would also abide by some of those rules as well. Her being his student did bother him on some level. But since he personally had never felt any emotion other than disdain towards her while she was underage, he didn't give the idea much thought.
