Snape's Pov

Oct 31

It was dreaded Halloween. A day Severus Snape loathed. Though he did appreciate the symbolism behind the holiday. Nothing ever good happened on this day. Every year something occurred especially once Potter entered the school; trolls and break-ins. Why should he have expected something different? He never could have predicted this type of danger to occur.

Dumbledore had already been informed that they would be leaving the castle in a few short hours to try and locate the final resting place of Hades' dagger. Though that was where his excitement ended. He and Hermione were looking over a map of a plot of land on Whales. They had narrowed the search down to the East Coast. But we're struggling to identify the precise area of woods the cipher indicated. They knew that it was going to take a couple of tries, raw hands and multiple plots of freshly dug holes before they could find what they desired. They were dressed and were prepared to go trekking and digging out in the rough terrain. They were down in his private labs, making one last effort to narrow the search for tonight's excursion before they spent the entire night wandering through acres of various woods.

He didn't know how it had begun. All he knew was that it had happened. And that there was no going back from what they had done.

One minute he felt her hand graze his. Neither making a move to separate them. Then they were staring at one another. He had never felt anything as intense as what he was feeling with her. Her brown eyes had blown wide. The room radiated with magic and electricity. Though he was often cold his skin was burning up. Heating from the inside, deep within. He knew that his stare was intense but it lacked the weight of legilimency. He never in all of his life wanted to use that spell to access someone's mind more than in this moment. To even catch a glimpse of what she was thinking tempted him greatly. He knew that his presence was often dominating but he was never controlling. In fact, right now she controlled him. Commanded him to stay and look at her. His breathing began to quicken as she licked her lips. Her chest raised and fell with her own quickening breath. The feeling of passion, desire, hunger. It was as if an electric current was running between them.

The moment he saw them spark with arousal he knew he was a goner. His restraint snapped. He didn't know if he kissed her first all he knew was that she was kissing him back. She wanted him as much as he wanted her. Her lips were so soft against his. He had never experienced anything quite like this. Any kisses he had in the past were nothing compared to what she was doing to him. Even the one in the temple was a flame compared to the wildfire between them. It was as if he was dying of thirst and only she could quench him. Darting his tongue to her lips asking for permission she gladly opened them. There was nothing gentle about the kiss. It was fast as his lips devoured hers. He wanted nothing more than to taste her. She didn't hold back either. Fighting for control and dominance with their mouths.

Turning to face her better he brought his hand around her waist. Pulling her closer to him. He didn't know how long this would last but he wanted to enjoy every second of it. And all of her. With her pressed up against him, he could feel the plush curve of her breasts pressed into his chest and the width of her hips. He didn't have time to appreciate how her hands snaked up around his neck.

He knew that they should stop but he couldn't bear to cause himself the pain it would result in ending their connection. She was greedily taking from him as he was from her. He could feel her hands roam around his back and shoulders. But it wasn't enough. It would never be enough. Not even her mouth devouring his in hungry kisses saturated his need.
