Danny's pov
Peter, Shuri and I made our way to the front door, where we saw Wanda looking out of a nearby window. She looked over in our direction and gasped slightly when she saw me.
"You ready to go Wanda?" Shuri asked.
"Yep," Wanda replied and we all made our way to the garage.
"So where are we going anyway?" Wanda questioned
"Central Park, if that's ok with you," Peter replied.
Wanda nodded at him and we continued the walk in silence.
We got to the garage where a suited man on a phone was leaning on a limousine.
"Hey happy," Peter said a little loudly, announcing our presence.
The man flinched and almost dropped his phone before regaining his composure and turning towards us.
"Hey, guys, where are you headed," He asked, unlocking the car.
"Central Park," Peter replied.
"Alright," he said and hopped onto the driver's seat.
Shuri opened the back door and entered. Peter sat on her left, and Wanda sat to his left, leaving me to sit on Wanda's left by the door.
The ride was mostly quiet, with the occasional question from Peter or Shuri, but I found myself subconsciously looking over at Wanda a lot. I felt like I'd seen her before, but I wasn't sure where.
"Can you stop staring at me please, it's kinda weird," Wanda announced to me, snapping me out of my trance.
"Ohh, sorry about that, it's just I feel like I've seen you before, but I don't remember where," I replied apologetically
"I probably just have one of those faces," she said
When we entered the city, I tried my best to look out of the window, And take in the sights. The car came to a stop near a gated area with plenty of greenery. We all exited from Shuri's side onto the pavement.
"We'll meet you back here in a few hours, " Peter announced to Happy, and he replied with a nod.
We walked into the gated area, and I was amazed by how spacious it was. As we made our way through the park, we walked past a very oddly shaped body of water, before stopping at a bench with two unfamiliar faces.
The two strangers saw us and walked up to us. Peter approached one of them and they did some sort of weird hand shake and kissed the other on the lips. Shuri and Wanda hugged the two strangers, and I just stood there awkwardly.
"Guys, this is our friend Danny I told you about, and Danny these are our friends Ned and MJ," Peter announced, introducing me to the two strangers.
"Nice to meet you, Danny," Ned said, holding out his hand.
I shook his hand and Mj gave me a nod and put out her fist. I wasn't quite sure what to do, but I also made a fist and bumped it against hers.
"So Danny, where you from?" Ned asked
I looked over at Peter, Wanda and Shuri and they all gave me a nod.
"Well that's a complicated story, but long story short I'm from Hydra," I explained
"The same hydra that infiltrated Shield and tried to take over the world?" MJ asked nonchalantly
"Unfortunately yes, but I promise I'm not evil. I was just a science experiment." I replied anxiously.
"Like Wanda?" Ned asked me,
I looked over at Wanda and instantly realized where I knew her from.
"Are you one of the twins from Strucker's base?" I asked Wanda and she flinched at my realisation
"Yeah I am, how do you know that?" She replied.
"I was gonna get relocated there a while ago but the base was attacked," I explained.
"That's awesome," Ned yelled out gaining everyone's attention.
Wanda gave him a look and his expression immediately changed.
"Not awesome," Ned said less enthusiastically
"If you're like Wanda do you have powers then," Mj asked a bit more enthusiastic this time.
"Yeah I have super speed and super strength," I replied.
"Cool, can you show us?" Ned asked.
I was about to but I remembered that we were in public and I had to keep the promise I made to Shuri about Wanda.
"Actually I'd rather not, at least not now," I replied.
"Ohh right, I almost forgot we're in public," Ned added
"So where are we going now?" Shuri asked the group
"We can go anywhere, I just need to pick something up from school first," Mj replied
"That's great, that way we can show Danny where the school is," Peter announced.
We got to a station and got on a ground vehicle, called a train. It actually moved pretty fast, and after a half hour, we got to the school.
We walked through a large field, passing some people jogging around the field. We walked up a flight of stairs and a large building. We got to an office and we waited outside whilst Mj entered.
"I didn't know that people came here on Saturday," Shuri announced to all of us.
I looked up from the floor and noticed the a group of people staring at me. I wasn't sure why, but it was probably because I was a new face. They noticed me looking at them and turned away, whispering between themselves
"I used to swing up to the roof here on weekends. It's got a pretty good view." Peter replied, just as MJ walked back out of the reception with a backpack over her shoulders.
"When'd you leave your bag here?" Wanda asked.
"When I left early yesterday, I forgot to take my back with me," Mj explained.
"Where we headed now, I was thinking we could go to the bodega, I'm kinda hungry," Peter said.
"Same," Shuri, Wanda, Mj, Ned and I all said in unison.
"You know I think you're right Shuri, this does feel like the start of something," I said
