"Welcome to your portrait exhibition, my dear nephew!" Wen Bing was shell-shocked when Min Jun introduced him to the exhibition. There was a bunch of portraits, all lined up and hung across the walls of the hall that was hired by Min Li. Among them were also the portraits of Sang Tian which he lovingly drew during his prosopagnosia days. Wen Bing got closer to the wall and stared at the portraits for a long, long time. All around him, people were flooding and whispers like "Wow!" "This is legendary." "I love these." could be heard. Wen Bing felt a pat on his shoulders which broke his trance. He looked around to see his friends surrounding him.
"Hey Mr. Genius Artist. You alright?" Xiao Xiao laughed. "It seems that this surprise from his fiancé has left a deeper impact than we thought."
Wen Bing's faster-than-light mind suddenly assembled all the pieces together.
"Wait. Does that mean you guys knew about this?"
All the guys laughed.
"Everybody knew, except you."
Wen Bing's eyes darted towards Sang Tian, who was talking to the assembled guests alongside Min Li. Her eyes caught his and they shared a smile. After some talk with his friends, Wen Bing was called by Min Li to be introduced by some eminent elites who knew his mother. Wen Bing smiled to each of them and answered whatever questions they asked about his portraits. One of them, a woman of around 40, asked a question Wen Bing was dying to answer.
"Mr. Wen, may we know why you drew so many portraits of this one person? Who is he?"
Min Li smiled and looked at Wen Bing, whose face had lit up in a rare excitement. She called Sang Tian, who was talking with Meng Na and Coach Xue. As Sang Tian nervously neared them, Wen Bing followed her with his gaze, which made her blush.
"May I introduce Sang Tian, the most talented ice hockey player Qianbei has ever seen, as the future chairman Wen Bing's fiancé." Min Li now looked at Wen Bing, as if telling him to continue.
"Since childhood, I had acute prosopagnosia. When I came to Liuye, she was the only person I could miraculously see clearly. That's why I drew her."
The assembled guests stared at the couple in awe on hearing their unusual love story. Sang Tian blushed even more.
The portrait exhibition went on smoothly, with Wen Bing being busy with communicating with the guests. Sang Tian had to talk with the elites, something she was inexperienced with. She would have felt more awkward had it not been for Wen Bing and Min Li, who helped her from time to time, showcasing the minimal decorums. She was flooded with questions which she answered not-so-surely but with a smile on her face. She could see the transition from being a poor teenage girl to a girl of high-class and maturity. She needed time. Time to adjust to the glamorous world of the elites. It would take some time for her to understand the difference between her small world with only her, her brother, her friends and her studies to the bigger world which lay ahead of her.
She felt a hand around her shoulder. She looked up to see Wen Bing smiling at her, as if trying to say, "Don't worry, my love. I am with you. We will be together in this journey....Always."
Wen Bing's next move was unexpected for her. In front of the assembled guests, which included the top business elites, teachers, friends and family, Wen Bing kneeled down in front of Sang Tian, with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"Sang Tian, thank you. Thank you for making yet another wish of mine come true. You make me happy whenever I am not. Will you give me a chance now to make you happy forever? We have accomplished one major dream of our life. Will you allow me to accomplish another dream of ours? Sang Tian, will you marry me?"
Loud gasps were heard in the crowd as well as countless whisperings. Sang Tian blushed almost red while the whisperings in the crowd grew louder and louder, until everyone literally began to shout, "Say yes! Yes! Yes! Say yes to him!"
The tears which were held until now erupted from her eyes.
"YES!" She shouted. "Yes. I will marry you Wen Bing." She rushed to hug him. Wen Bing took her in a tight embrace, both of them unmindful of all the cheering and clapping around them. The only thing they knew was that they didn't want this perfect moment to end....ever.
After sometime which felt like a moment and an eon at the same time, they pulled apart reluctantly. Min Li came forward, smiling from ear to ear, and told the couple, "Shall I have to plan the wedding too? Or do you have anything in your mind?"
Wen Bing gave Sang Tian a knowing look and both of them smiled. For Min Li certainly didn't know that they had planned and replanned their perfect wedding even before they were engaged.
"Mom, we have already decided everything regarding our wedding banquet. We just need the time. And she will tell that." He glanced towards Sang Tian. She smiled and said, "Mom, we will marry in three weeks."
Min Jun and Sang Zhan gasped simultaneously. Gasps were even heard among the crowd.
"Sister, this is too early!" Sang Zhan could not help but point out.
"And you may as well have a double wedding with us. Why make Meng Na wait?"
Wen Bing's retort made Sang Zhan and Meng Na blush while Meng Qi chuckled.
Min Li smiled and held Sang Tian's hand.
"Nothing is early as long as both of you are happy. I will make the arrangements soon. Until then, congratulations."
"CONGRATULATIONS!" Every human being in the exhibition uttered together.
Wen Bing just looked at Sang Tian, and both of them flushed.
It was going to be perfect.
