Chapter 29

Hana stood there, seeing her parents hugging Jungkook. It's been years since they saw him, and it feels good seeing them in better terms.

"Jungkook, son, we're very sorry for everything... I really hope you can forgive us." Hana's mom said, as she hugs him tight.

"There's nothing to forgive. We were all under extreme pressure back then." Jungkook replied sincerely.

Next was Hana's dad, who pulled Jungkook for another hug, not saying anything. He lets his eyes do the talking as always, giving him his apologetic eyes after breaking the physical connection.

The moment Namjoon called his phone last night, inviting him to come over to the hospital and meet her family, Hana somehow knew what it was all about.

Looking over herself, laying on the hospital bed, Hana felt peaceful. Like everything is finally right. Seeing her parents and Namjoon get along with Jungkook like the way they were back then, gave her the feeling of content.

"We asked you to come here since the doctor called for a conference with the family, and you've always been a part of this family." Hana's dad said.

"Hana's been in this state for exactly 3 years next week, and every year, we hold this meeting to discuss her condition." Namjoon said.

"It must've been difficult..." Jungkook said, but was interrupted by the sudden presence of several doctors as they entered the room.

"Shall we start the meeting?" The lead doctor said.

Hana and Jungkook are both quiet in the car, on their way back to Jungkook's place. She kept repeating their conversation in her head. The doctors were straightforward, and said that Hana is not getting any better.

Somehow, seeing all of them there, comforting and supporting each other, felt so right. Jungkook  was quick to pat Namjoon's back, hold her mom's hand to squeeze it and give her dad an empathetic look, as the doctors explained Hana's condition.

The moment they reached his place, he hugged her so tight and started sobbing like a kid. "Hana, I don't want to lose you..."

"I'm still here Kookie... shhh... please don't cry." Hana said, feeling helpless.

"Please live... live for your parents, Namjoon hyung... live for me Hana... Please, live for me." Jungkook said, as tears fell endlessly from his eyes. His chin on her shoulder, as he hugs her, almost lifting Hana off the ground.

Hana hugs back, gently rubbing Jungkook's back to shush him. "Kookie, I'm not going anywhere. If I can, I'll stay here with you forever..."

They hugged for a long time before Jungkook loosened his hold on Hana. She pulled herself back to make him look down on her. Cupping his cheeks with both hands, she started wiping the tears away.

Jungkook averted her eyes, ashamed of how he cried out like a little boy. "Kookie, look at me... please?" Hana said softly, bringing Jungkook's gaze on her.

"I'm right here. I won't be out of your sight for the entire week. We can make more happy memories together that will last a lifetime." She sweetly said.

"One week is not enough Hana..." He said, tears continued flowing.

"I know... but we'll have to take what we can... If that's all the time left, then I'll spend every single minute of it with you." Hana said, looking into Jungkook's eyes.

He drops his head, looking defeated. "I hate that I can't do anything about it... If I can take your place, I would..."

Hana cuts him with a soft kiss on the lips, tiptoeing on the floor, wrapping her arms around his neck. She pulls away and looks at him again. "I know... but you can't... you're capable of being so much more... you still have a lot of time ahead of you."

"I can't do all that... not without you..." Jungkook says in tears, shaking his head.

Hana calms him, placing both palms on either side of his cheeks. "You can Kookie... Please... do it for me." She says, before planting another soft kiss on his quivering lips.

He couldn't reply to her kisses properly at first. He was a crying mess the entire time Hana was kissing him. She doesn't give up, kept on kissing him until Jungkook settled down.

"Kookie... I love you... I will always love you." Hana says in between kisses.

Jungkook kisses her with more passion, plunging his tongue into her sweet mouth. He crouches down to pick her by the thighs to wrap them around his waist. She encircles his neck with her arms and kisses him back with the same passion he's giving her.

He pulls back a bit to stare into her eyes. "I'll make love to you like it's our last, every single time we're together, starting now." Jungkook says in a low tone that stirred every fiber of Hana's being.
