Chapter 7: The Assassins

Ysabel

I woke up from the nightmare that has been haunting me every night. I always see how my parents were killed by that bald man. I promised to my parents that I will seek revenge from the people who killed them. I scanned the room and I can say that this isn't mine. It has four doors which I believe are the main door, walk-in closet, the bathroom and stockroom, I think, when mine has only three. The bed that I slept is not so comfy when mine is the most comfiest bed I have ever slept. I tried to stand up but I just fell. I heard a piano playing in the stockroom or the room-which-I don't-know. I slowly walked towards the main door even though my head is getting dizzy, again. I was about to open it when I bumped into a vase and of course, it fell and broke into pieces. I quickly hid under the bed because the one playing the piano had stopped. The door opened and I can hear footsteps.

"Bel?" Someone called. Wait, is that...

"Bel! It's me Nathan!" Damn! So DB is the one who brought me here to his house. He opened the main door, the bathroom door, the walk-in closet and in the corners where I could hide. He let out a loud sigh amd sat on the floor. Then, he stood up and I walked towards the bed. Oh no! And he raised the bed sheets revealing me.

"Bel! What are you doing there?!"
He helped me stand up and he faced me with confused eyes.

"Why were you hiding?" He asked.
"I wasn't. I was just finding my shoes." I lied.
"Bel, your shoes are over there." He pointed to a corner and I saw my shoes there. I looked at him and he was wearing his house clothes. I looked at mine and SH*T! Why the hell am I wearing hospital clothes?! Who the hell changed me?! I furiously looked at Nathan and I punched him on his nose.

"Ow! What the fucking hell?!"

I laid her on my bed and called Dra. Mitshburg, which is also our family doctor. She said that Bel had a slight fever and she should take a lot of rest.
She left after changing Bel into hospital clothes, which I don't know why.

I looked at her and I noticed that she has the same features like Sabel's. Ugh. Stop thinking about her, Nathan. I went to the piano room to play. I learned how to play piano when Sabel left.

Sabel is my childhood friend since we were 5. We played in the park almost everyday. She had all my firsts. My first bestfriend, first kiss on the cheek, first love and my very first heartache.

I'm not leaving you. My family will just have a vacation and I will come back for you. Promise!

Those were the words which she said to me before leaving. Those were the words that makes me wake up everyday waiting for her to come back. Come back to me. I've never loved anyone like Sabel. I didn't notice that a tear fell from my eye.

Sabel, when will you come back? I miss you so damn much!

I was about to play the second part when I heard a vase broke. Sh*t! Bel!
I opened the door leading to my room and looked at the bed. Damn! She is not there! Where the hell could she be?

I opened the main door, the bathroom and the walk-in closet but she is nowhere to be found. I let out a loud sigh and sat on the floor.

Why am I looking for her anyways? The hell I care! But there is really something in me that wants to take care of her and do something more. Ugh! What am I thinking?!

Wait. Is that Ysabel's hair or I am just imagining things? I stood up and looked closely. It could possibly be hers since she is the only one I let in my bedroom. But why is she hiding? I raised the bed sheets and there I saw Bel with a blank face.

"Why did you punch me in the face?! Are you nuts?!" I furiously asked. I just helped her and she punched me for the second time!

"Are you the one who changed me?" She said calmly but in a dangerous tone.

I looked at her and smirked. "I wish I could. But I didn't." She blushed.

"Then who?"

"Dra. Mitshburg." Then she stood up like nothing happened. She got her shoes and went directly towards the main door when I stopped her.

"Don't go." Wait! Is that really the right term?

"Why should I stick with a douche like you?" She smirked and chuckled.

"Don't call me a douche. You can't go out cause assassins from other districts are downstairs having a meeting." I crossed my arms and tapped my left foot on the floor.

"I can handle." she plainly said.

"But you might die!" I shouted. Why am I concerned?! I shouldn't be but my mind says otherwise.

"You concerned?" She laughed quietly. "I have met the devil and he said that today's not my due date." and left the room leaving me speechless.

Wow! Devil Girl against 50 assassins? Huh. She is one tough girl indeed.
