Chapter 19.1: Payback Time

"Noooo!!" I woke up and found myself between four white walls with a small table beside me. My head scrunched up to confusion. I looked around me and there I also found a rectangular sofa and someone sleeping on it.

I slowly stood up and approached the sleeping beast. When I got near, I realized that it is Nathan. What is he doing here? What am I doing here? I can't seem to remember anything! I slightly poked him on his back and e just replied with a grunt.

*poke*

"What?" He opened his eyes and his forehead slightly creased. When his eyes met mine, he hurriedly got up and fixed himself.

He got near me an held both my shoulders. "Are you okay?"

I got surprised with his action so I quickly shoved his arms and walked towards the bed and sat.

"What happened here? Why are we here?"

Nathan stopped.

"You can't remember anything?"

"I shouldn't have asked you if I remember anything, ass."

He lightly chuckled and sat next to me.

I moved and noticed that I am now at the edge of the bed.

"Stop it!"

"Stop what?" He asked innocently. It is evident in his voice that he is close to laughing.

"Stop....stop....ju-just stop! Okay? Geez!"I stood up from the bed and proceeded towards the door when it opened.

"Ysa!" Athena arrived with the gang and she hugged me so tightly.

"W-wait! I c-can't breathe!"

"Oh, I'm sorry."She composed herself and she sat on the couch. Sophia and Vivienne just nodded at me and sat beside Athena. Walter approached me and asked if I was okay.

"I am. And wait, what am I doing here?"

They all looked at each other and looked back at me. I gave them my 'what' look but still none of them spoke up.

"Sophia, did you bring the food?" Nathan asked. Wow. What a good answer to my question. Wow.

"Oh! Yeah! Let's eat!" All of them stood up and proceeded to the mini table which is just beside my bed. I just sighed and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Why won't they tell me why I am here?

Are they hiding something?

Or should I say, someone?

"Why can't she remember anything?" Mike said while comforting Athena who is almost in tears.

"This is all my fault! I was the one who put Ysa and Alex in danger!" Athena said, enough to be heard by us. We wouldn't want Bel to find out.

Bel. I thought she was dead by the time I carried her towards the van. Everything happened so damn fast.

Flashback

I pulled her to me just as she was about to enter the burning van. She was trying to free herself from my grip but I didn't let her win. I can't risk losing her. She means something to me.
