Chapter 13: Gang War

No one moved. No one dared to speak. Everyone in the arena became silent. I glanced at DB and he put his hands on his pockets. He whispered something to his gang and two men from his gang approached us.

I signaled Alexandra and Michelle to attack. They are called the Uppercut Duo. They first strike their opponent with a hard punch on the stomach and do the uppercut. If the opponent can still stand, they punch the opponent's chest which will make them fall down.

A series of men followed after them. Athena and Vivienne are called the Twin Jab. Athena uses her lefT jab while Vivienne uses her right. They make sure that the opponent wont stand and for the final touch, they kick them hard on the stomach.

Mike, being the second leader of the gang, is the one who hits below the belt. He first throws a solid uppercut before hitting it below the belt.

The others used their techniques in taekwondo, arnis and boxing. We have fought battles that involves knives, bats, and even machine guns.

I just stood there watching their every move and can see that they have the skills. I looked at Devil Boy who is so hot, erm, cool in fighting, although he gets punched. I didn't notice that a man from his gang was about to attack. Luckily, Athena was there so she was the one who fought off the man.

When everyone was finished, they went back to their sides. Now it's time to make my move. I walked towards them with a smirk ready to sweep their feet off. I was about to say something when someone hit me with a hard punch on the stomach which made me fell down. I looked up and saw everybody's shocked faces and gasps. No one has ever seen me fall down before. Until now. I was quite shocked but anger surfaced my emotions. I quickly stood up and gave a kick on his groin the person. I glanced at DB and he is wearing his usual smirk. I went to him and tapped his shoulder. I went to the center of the arena and looked at everyone.

"The Menacing Hawks are..............in." I announced. I was walking back to the room when Ron, the leader of The Gang, approached me.

"Vad?" *What in swedish*

"Empress, I have to tell you something."

"And what is that?" I still continued walking.

"The leader of the Menacing Hawks? Nathan, right?" I nodded. "Believe it ir not but he is also the leader of the assassins that you fought with the other week." That made me stop on my tracks. Nathan? Leader of the assassins?

"So?"

"Maybe he knows the assassins who killed your parents. Maybe he can lead us to them." he stated.

"Maybe. But how can you be so sure that they will lead us to THE assassins who killed my parents? What if they will just fool us?" I faced him. "What if they joined KOH just to destroy it once again? We can't just trust newbies, Ron. It's gonna be a very big mistake if we trust them and we'll be the one who will suffer in the end. And that is what I dont wanna happen."

"You have a point. But there is nothing wrong if we will try. I mean, if we will know that they are leading us to the wrong direction, we would kill them and if not, well let's say that they're lucky. We should always be one step, two steps ahead of them. "

Well, he has a point. But if there will be a time that we will be one step, two step behind them......ugh! Stop thinking about bad things!

"Fine. But you have to make sure that we will always be one step, two steps ahead of them or you're dead." I warned him and walked towards the room and went in.

I hope I made the right decision.

"What?"

"Empress wants to talk to you." Cross said while playing his knife.

Empress. So Bel wants to talk to me. I still can't believe that she accepted us. And I was quite shocked when she was knocked over by Nicco. But of course, Nicco was the one who tasted Bel's kick-on-the-groin. I walked towards the so-called VIP room where only the Black Cheetahs can enter. I knocked two times and a tall and petite girl opened it.

"What do you want?" She coldly said. Wow! Fierce. Steve's type of girl.

"I came here because Be--, I mean Enpress called me." I said and smiled.

She slammed the door. On my face. Damn! I wasn't expecting that! She opened it after a few minutes and let me in. I looked at the room and it's f*cking amazing! It's like a moviehouse in here!

"Nathan!" Someone shouted. Tss. DG.
I quickly walked towards the table where DG and her gang were seated plus Vladimr. They let me seat beside Vladimr so I am facing Bel. I took a glance at her and I caught her shooting daggers at me. I smirked in response.

"So what brings me here?" I said and took a deep breath.

"You are here because you have to tell us something. And we want the truth. The truth, Nathan. If you lie, this knife will be stuck on your neck." Bel said in gritted teeth, showing me the sharp knife. Why so angry?

"What am I gonna say to all of you that involves only the truth?"

Vladimr stood up and went to the front and he closed the lights. Then, a series of pictures appeared on the screen above Vladimr. Why are they showing me these pictures?

"Why are you showing me these pictures?"

"Since you are the leader or the boss of the assassins, I'm gonna ask you this question and please tell the truth." Vladimr said, hands on his pockets. I nodded.

"Did your assassins kill these people?"

"No."

"These people were killed by assassins on the 16th of March 1993. Are you sure that you are telling the truth?" Vladimr.

"Yes! And why the hell would I know when I am still a baby at that time! And who are those people anyways?" Me.

Bel stood up from her chair and went to the front bringing a cold aura with her. She looked at everyone with a cold expression and her aura darkened when her gaze landed at mine.

"The people you are referring to are my parents. These people are the most feared gangsters in their time. These people were killed by unknown assassins. AND I WONT GIVE A DAMN IF I WILL PULL THEIR HEADS OFF AND SLICE THEM INTO PIECES!" She shouted angrily. I looked at her and she was fuming mad. I even saw a tear drop from her eyes.

"Nathan!" She called me. "Tell me the truth!"

"Empress, I have already told you that I have no idea who these assassins are. I am just the leader of the assassins in this district. The assassins in other districts aren't mine." This is the first time I have called her Empress. She looked away amd her expression hardened.

"Okay, all of you. You may now go." she said and was the first one to go out the door. We looked at each other for a moment before going out and went home.
