It was the week after the party and Harper and I had started to hang out more. We would sit beside each other in class and we ate lunch together. At first it was weird having a girl sitting with us, and Nick and Boomer basically didn't say anything the first couple of times. And they're usually pretty hard to shut up. But eventually they had gotten used to her. I actually think they started appreciating her company.

We were sitting out in the courtyard. Just Harper and I. We had snuck away from third period, and were sitting underneath one of the big trees, hiding from our teachers. Our hands were locked together and every time neither of us had anything to say, I leaned over to kiss her.

"No!"

"Yes, I promise!"

"You can't be serious," she said and looked at me, with disbelief plastered all over her face.

"DC comics over Marvel, any day."

"You are absolutely out of your mind." Her words were harsh but her eyes looked at me softly, a smile playing on her lips.

"What? You don't see me as a serious guy?" I smirked, leaning in closer.

"Oh, I do, mr. Garcia." Her voice lowered.

"I don't believe you," I whispered, my lips now inches from hers.

"Well, that's your loss."

A moment of silence followed before our lips touched. My hands grabbed her waist, and started slowly snaking underneath her shirt. Her skin felt amazing against my hands and I started moving closer to her. She began-

"Hey!" We were torn out of our kiss, by someone yelling through the courtyard. "Yeah, you two! What are you doing out of class?" As the person got closer (which was quite quick considering the speed he moved at) I realized it was my math teacher, who had caught me in this rather... unfortunate situation.

"Alexander Garcia," he mumbled disappointed, while grabbing both of us and dragging us inside. "Every time I hope that it is the last time im gonna drag you to the principals office, but here we are again."

We walked through the luckily empty hallways before he abandoned us outside the principals office. Harper sat down, and I was walked towards the chair next to her.

"Nuh-uh, don't even think about it." I turned towards the secretary. She was aggressively chewing on her gum whilst pointing to the chair, furthest away from Harper.

I sent her a dirty look, but did as she wanted.

The principal called me in first.

"I called your brother," was all she said before she went back to looking at her computer.

"Yes, ma'am." Then I realized what she said. "I'm -I'm sorry, you did what? Why?"

"I needed to contact your guardian, in this case that is your brother, correct?"

"Yeah but why? It ain't necessary."

"I think I will decide when it is necessary, mr. Garcia."

"But-"

"And you have been getting into trouble a lot here lately. And maybe you being with ms. Rodriguez has been the cause. So maybe the two of you needs some time apart..."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm suspending you for three days."

"You're suspending me?!"

"Yes."

"Because of this?!"

"No, because of your general behaviour lately, and I think you need time to think about it, and apparently detention have done you no good."

"This blows..." I mumbled.

"Perhaps, mr. Garcia, but every action has consequences. You can might as well learn that now. So now is no time to play innocent."

"Are you-"

I was interrupted by Joe aggressively walking through the door.

"Your brother has been-" my principal started.

"Yeah, yeah," he waved her off. "He can tell me himself, I'm in a hurry. Let's go, Alec," he barked.

I hurried out after him, and left a startled principal in her office.
