1. Piggy's Mom and Dad
"How long?"
"Sorry sir, ma'am has another half an hour shoot, something came up. She says you can leave if you want to."
"Trust me, I want to leave but I have a pig at home who will get mad at me..." Rohit mumbled but the words were unheard by Sonakshi's assistant, and he asked what he said to which Rohit shook his head. "Tell her I am waiting and to return soon."
Rohit sat back in his car, and instructed the driver to put some songs on the radio and to relax if he wanted to, while Rohit answered his calls. Being a surgeon and the best one in the current scenario, Rohit had a lot of patients and reports and surgeries to deal with, lately he had busied himself with so much work that he hardly had time for anything other than his son.
And it was owing to his son that he was here, all the way to Film City, Goregaon to pick up his wife, who was supposed to be ready one hour before and yet, here she was late as ever in her nonsensical shoots. As much sense his work made, Sonakshi's work was senseless. Rohit rolled his eyes as he remembered the last week episode where Anu the lead actress who was getting cheated by her husband, just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary even when she knew that he was sleeping with someone else.
When Veena watched it, she was sad and sympathisied with Anu, Sona's character but Rohit scoffed loudly, because if this was real life and Sona had caught him sleeping with someone else then he and his mistress would both be dead by now. He also knew that Sona was also probably laughing at how silly the character was.
How she did these scenes with such intensity, he would never know.
"He is waiting, ma'am." The assistant told Sonakshi who had just taken a shot break, the makeup artists were like always around her, helping with the touch up. "I did tell him that he could leave but he just mumbled something about a pig? I don't know if that makes sense."
Sonakshi shook her head, "yes, the pig does make sense. anyway, this should take not less than half an hour." She was called by the director again. Sona wanted a big break for the coming week, courtesy her son, and hence she had to grind hard for the bank episodes. This was supposed to be her last shoot for the week and Sona was exhausted to say the least.
But it was all worth it for her little pig.
"Sonakshi, it is a wrap for today because there are some technical issues with the camera set up but we will have to call you for shoot this week."
"But, I need a leave this week," Sona was desperate, if her piggy came to know about her working this week despite of him telling her not to, he would legit flip. "This week is very important, sir."
"I know Sonakshi, but the technical issues were not something we could handle and then we'd need few more edits with the other cast too. Not much, just two days. Sorry."
Sonakshi couldn't argue anymore, this was her life now and that was how the TV life was. They had to shoot every single day to keep the daily run of episodes going and honestly, she always liked doing it. Until now, she loved the rush, she loved the thrill and the camera lights on her but right now, all she had in her mind was her son. In these past six months, she had kept herself so busy with work and shoots that she hardly had time for him.
Since it was a pack up, Sona sighed, not wasting any more time as she changed into her comfy clothes and tied her hair in a bun. She thanked the artists and her helpers who were constantly by her side and walked towards the known Mercedes parked in the compound.
In all the mess, Sona had forgotten that Rohit was still waiting for her and she was very tired to listen to him complain about her tardiness. She took a deep breath and knocked the car window, immediately Rohit lowered it and instead of a grim look, she was given a soft smile.
