17. Ronak and his Radiance

Five days were done from the seven days they had planned to stay together without fighting and honestly, they were doing good. Rohit had managed to shift all his work to the other doctors and surgeons for the week and Sona had strictly told her set and her PA to not disturb her after the last time she went to shoot, and both the busy parents had managed to work in harmony. In these five days, both Sona and Rohit had learned so much about their son, especially how happy he looked with them.

The last six months had been tough on Ronak more than on them, and Sona and Rohit could see the visible changes in their son. He was more happy, more cheerful and loud, more dramatic, more active and always smiling. Even now as Ronak was playing UNO with his aunts and uncles, he was so vibrant and cheerful, both Sona and Rohit were only admiring their son.

"Where are we going mumma?" Ronak asked, as Sona packed all her bags and his too. "We going somewhere?"

"Ronak, pack whatever you need, we are not coming back for a long time." Sona said, her voice was so fierce that Ronak was about to cry.

Veena, Ajit and Pooja were all there when Sonakshi told them that she was leaving the house, separating from Rohit because things were getting too hard. She had packed her bags as Ronak stood, holding hands with Pooja and they were all teary eyed.

"I don't want to go, Mumma," Ronak said, shaking his head, tears spilling from his eyes. "I don't want to go, I don't want to go." He said, refusing to leave as Sona glared at him, this was already so difficult for her and her son was making it more harder.

Veena also stood there, tears spilling from her eyes as Sona instructed her driver to keep all her bags in the car and Pooja and Ajit were standing dumbfounded, Ronak holding their hands, crying and refusing to leave his family. Sona sighed, holding her bag and Ronak's too as she hugged them all, whispering a goodbye and holding her tears, but Ronak did not want to leave his precious family.

"Ronak, I am not asking you, you are coming with me." Sona said to her son, anger and pain visible in her voice.

Ronak shook his head, hiding behind Pooja, crying as Sona took a deep breath, "fine, I am leaving." She took her bags, and with one last look at the house and her precious in-laws, she headed out.

Pooja wiped her tears as she faced Ronak, "piggy, you my best friend right?" Ronak nodded, teary eyed, "then do me a favour? go with your mumma now and take care of her for me, okay?" Ronak nodded, hugging Pooja as she cried, kissing the kid's hair. "Call me when you reach, okay."

With that Sona took her son's hand and they walked out, leaving the Sippy house in tears and a long lasting pain.

"UNO!" Ronak yelled, holding one card in pride, teasing Ajit who had so many in his. "I am going to win, I am going to win." He teased everyone else as Ajit and Pari snapped their fingers and made plans to add more cards in Ronak's hand. Rohit smiled at his son, although he was sorting work on his laptop, he could not help but smile at his son and his radiance.
