Prologue: The Plan
"Do you all know what you have to do?"
The serious tone was seriously cute.
All the members of the two families were trying really hard to behave, but they couldn't help but keep awing at the small boy standing in front of them. There was everything about the kid that made everyone awe at him, he was just four feet and looked all the more cute in his pink piggy pyjamas.
"You look so cute," Veena Sippy, cooed, she was Ronak's paternal grandmother and always the one cooing for him. "Hai na?"
Veena Sippy was the Ronak's personal spokesperson, because with Veena besides, Ronak never had to do anything but ask. Veena often pampered him with so much love, attention and gifts and for obvious reasons, Veena was in Ronak's favourite list. She was in her sixties, but the constant smile on her face and the happy giggles often made her look younger by ten years at the most. She was soft spoken, very fun loving and often took part in Ronak's mischief.
"Nazar mat lagana mere bacche ko." Suman Rastogi eyed the former.
Now unlike Veena, Ronak's maternal grandmother Suman Rastogi was outspoken, very loud and very direct and sharp in her words and actions. If Veena was the sugar, Suman was the cane, she was exactly opposite to Veena and always believed in being straightforward than sugary sweet and Ronak also had Suman in his favourite list. Because if Veena Sippy could not do something by her sweet words, there was no way Suman was unheard, because Suman always found different ways to finish one task and Ronak appreciated that quality.
"What hogwash," Veena retaliated, rolling her eyes. "All this is not real."
"It is real, black eye is a thing and I do not want my grandkid to suffer." Suman answered back.
"He is my kid too," Veena now angry, "and why would I let any harm befall him!"
"Stop it you two!"
Pooja Sippy shook her head, "Piggy wants to say something and here you two are arguing like always." The two ladies stopped bickering and sat back, the other members thanking Pooja who winked at Ronak.
Ronak winked back but ended up blinking both his eyes, he still did not know how to wink and that made everyone chuckle. He once again cleared his throat, or tried to as he stood in front of the two families.
"Wow, I thought Piggy is what we called him!" That voice came from Pari Rastogi, frustrated and pissed. "What is this?"
"What?" Pooja argued back, "It is a nickname, and everyone calls him Piggy, why are you so odd."
"Excuse me,"
Ronak held his head, this was another cat fight but between the youngsters. Pooja Sippy or Poo boo was Ronak's bua, or Rohit's sister and Ronak loved Poo as much as he loved his own parents. Pooja was a dear to him, always took care of him and was a best friend more than an aunt and was a lead fashion model and along with her, Pari Massi or Pranati Rastogi, Sonakshi's sister was Ronak's helper in need. Pari was really smart and her excuses often helped Ronak to get out of sticky situations, she was just as important as Poo was to him.
But since Pari was also a fashion model and a top competitor for Pooja and more often than not these two were always at a cold war. They did not speak a lot to each other and often taunted more than fighting, just like their mothers.
"What is wrong with you two," Ajit exclaimed, stopping the fight. "The poor kid is trying to say something since so long."
"Aur nahi toh kya," Pulkit added, shaking his head as shared the chips with Ajit. "Piggy, you speak."
