9. Mumma ka Chamcha

Sona had begrudgingly agreed to Rohit's plan on a condition that she would not play but simply watch and Rohit accepted it, and here they were, two hours later, all packing and readying themselves to play the match in a turf ground nearby. Suman and Veena were also excited for the family game, like always taunting the other and already praising their family team.

After all it was Rastogi's Vs Sippy's, and both Veena and Suman were cheering for their family team, betting that their team would win. While their moms were fighting, Ajit and Pulkit were discussing strategies, not really caring who wins but helping the other out. Pari and Pooja were on with their cold war, not words but glares did the talking and Rohit was only hoping that everything went well with the match, by the end of it he hoped to see Ronak and Sona together, happy and not like they were now.

Ronak was quiet, he was not speaking to anyone and just answering what was told to him while always looking out for his mother who was as quiet as him. Sona still needed time to sort her feelings and although Rohit knew she was not angry at Ronak, but taking her time to sort her mind. However, Ronak did not know that, he still thought that his mother was mad at him and was as upset as she was.

"Hey Piggy, you looking so good in this blue jersey. Isn't this the one which your mumma made for you?" Rohit asked his kid, and turned him around.

Piggy 09

Sona had custom ordered this jersey for Ronak's match at school and forgot that he was named Ronak and not Piggy, and when Ronak first saw this he looked at his mother in the most weird way ever. This was before their separation, and the only time when both Sona and Rohit had laughed together, the last laugh before the separation.

Of course Ronak still wore the jersey to school just because his mother had made it for him and because Sona like always, missed his match, this was his way of having his mother with him. Rohit was there when he raised the cup up, trying to search for his mother but finding her nowhere. He was there for Ronak, cheering him, along with Veena, but all Ronak did was miss his mom.

Rohit shook his head, this was not the time for old wounds and scars. "This jersey is getting a little small for you, isn't it?" He asked, turning Ronak around and he shrugged.

"Mumma made it for me, I really like this jersey."

"Mumma ka chamcha," Rohit shook his head, and picked his son. "But why is my baby so sad? Football toh aapko kitna pasand hai?"

Ronak frowned, his smile turned upside down, "Bas yuhi..."

Sona who was watching her favourite duo silently, sighed. She did not like these turn of events, especially not before the birthday of her son but the past memories came crashing down on her and she hated being in the middle of the mess. But she couldn't get those stupid words out of her head, those horrendous memories.

"Teri aukaat sirf ek housewife ki hai, sirf ek housewife ki. Aur kuch bhi nahi hoga tujhse."

Sona felt her anger rise, she shook her head, that was all gone, she told herself, all gone. She fisted her hand, trying to erase the past like it was a pencil mark but those words, those yelling, that abusive scenarios were making her angry by the second.

"Piggy, tumne mumma ko sorry kaha?"

Sona's trance broke by Rohit's soft voice, she looked at the duo again. "She won't even talk to me, Dadda, I even made her a sorry card but unhone react hi nahi kiya. I think she will never talk to me."

What card?

Sona got no card, she may have not paid attention to Ronak, he was doing something when they were together in the morning. She walked back to their room, and found the Sorry Card on her dressing table, she was so lost in the mess her mind was making that she may have not paid attention to what Ronak might have given her. She face palmed herself and read the cute card he made, feeling better already.
