The Fourth Roommate

As the helicopter drew near the Asylum, the Aides usually blank faces, they broke into a chilling grin. On the helipad, Selina, Cin's daughter was standing right next to the white-and-rose colored landing pad. Her seafoam colored hair was blowing in the wind, mainly because of the helicopter rotors.

Soon after, the Aidine walked down to the main hall, where an aide rushed over to her, a sheet of lavender paper in hand. In black ink, the letter read:

Dearest Selina, this is the Arachna Oracle, and I am coming to tell you that, from my predictions the new patient will be placed into ward 12. I don't know much about it, but I am hoping that's not true.

From, Absinthe

"Perfect. The Arachna Oracle has predicted that the new patient will be one of... them..."

The Aidine muttered under her breath with some grumbling. Selina crumpled up the letter, then shoved the paper into her purse.

As Selina walked back into the main hall of Arachna, the Aides were leading patients to different areas and some were going to Aide training. The large clock in the center of the Grand Staircase read 11:47. As the clock hand struck 11:48, her hand-held communicator buzzed to life.

"Aidine, this is Sister Aide Mary, the new patient will be here at mid-day." a scratchy voice said from the communicator.

The voice was stopped, replaced by a soft, yet muffled voice, leaving Selina no time to respond to Aide Mary. She frowned with her face squishing up as her eyebrows crinkled, as she listened to the new voice.

"Sister Aides, this is Aide Nanny Ophelia, I see some patients trying to erase the drawings on the hallway to the medical center. I am with the Aide Chaperone Lillith. Send the Oracle Absinthe to... take care of them..."

The communicator went silent for a few seconds, until bursting out. Selina grimaced. Another voice, a chirpy yet creepy voice rang out,

"I'll take care of it! Contacting the Oracle right now."

Selina brought the communicator to her lips and spoke to whomever was on the other end... if they were listening

"Oracle Absinthe is not using communicators, Lilith. Please go to her office. Thank you, Aidine Selina"

Finally, the radio buzzed a bit before falling into a deep silence, the only sounds in the corridor being the footsteps of patients and a few aides. When the clock struck 11:50, an idea came into her head. She went to the elevator for Arachna Staff, poked a sharp fingernail to the hidden button, then heard the soft hum of the elevator going to the Arachna Staff offices. The offices were for the Mortician, the Oracle, the Emmissianary, the Priestess, the Prioress and most importantly, the Aidine

When the elevator thumped down to the bottom with a small ding, signaling that she had arrived at the office floor, she went to her office. When Selina opened her white door to her office, She decided to check which room the new patient was going in. She opened the binder, flipping through the several room plans and room files on the patients, as she finally found the page she was looking for.

"Ward 12. How...intriguing." The Aidine muttered under her breath, smiling a bit. Her mother would be pleased.
