Thank the gods the rude neighbor wasn't home for the following week.

Once Ilaria realized he left again she ran to see if the crab legs were still hidden in his car. And they in fact, still were.

"So I don't get it," Mark starts, making Ilaria sigh waiting for his endless questioning. "The guy shut the door on your face, threw an egg at you, which in revenge you hide crab legs in his car and yet you don't know his name?"

"Pretty much, yeah" she replies smiling at the memory of her dying of laughter alone as she did such thing.

"And where does this guy Lando comes in?"

"He's just a nice guy I met" she shrugs, watching in amusement as a young kid run down the port with his mother trying to catch him.

"Lando?" Mark thinks to himself. "That's such an odd name"

Ilaria noticed how he kept on muttering to himself, "Nah it couldn't be", which honestly worried her with how much thought he was putting behind a simple name.

"It's not that big of a deal"

"It's impossible" he ignored her, packing his lunch and standing up. "See you on Monday, Ilaria"

She only nodded staying seated on a bench near the port, confused about his sudden weird behavior.

It was Monday and like always she had nothing better to do after work than to return home and help her grandmother bake, if she even is at home since she always seems to be out with friends.

Ilaria took the time walking to her grandmothers apartment, avoiding streets that bring too much memories or where she could possibly meet with somebody she didn't want to face.

Without looking up from the floor she stepped in the elevator when it opened in front of her, only then realizing the rude neighbor happened to be standing there with his suitcases.

"Was the egg of usage to you?"

She doesn't reply, ignoring the smirk growing on his face.

They awkwardly walk forward to their doors, Ilaria being the fastest one to open it. Turning to him as she was about to close it again, "did you enjoy the crab legs?" She sweetly asked, her hazel eyes twinkling in amusement. "Hopefully you aren't allergic to sea food"

His confused face told her everything she needed to know before she closes the door right as he was about to question her.

And she couldn't stop the chuckles leaving from her mouth.

It was only on Wednesday when he realized what she meant.

The smell inside his car was too strong to even drive with the windows down and upon taking the car to know what was wrong, he saw the ten crab legs being taken out of his car as they cleaned it.

He was furious beyond reasoning, knocking on her apartment door for about ten minutes until he gave up on it and returned to his place.

Ilaria laughed behind the door, she might be dead the next time they see each other but was all worth it.

For the following days she refused to leave the apartment, making up excuses not to go to work and spending time with her grandmother since Ilaria had been pretty much ignoring her for a few months now.

"A nice young guy helped me today with the groceries" Nonna spoke, not looking much at Ilaria since she was baking yet another pie. "He lives across from us, and I finally got his name"
