Lando invited Ilaria to go bowling the next day.

Which is weird, because the guy doesn't do any other activities other than golfing and driving cars. The invitation was suspicious, but it was either that or stay at home and watch a bunch of old ladies get drunk with her grandmother.

She went with the obvious choice. Her granny of course.

But upon Charles knowing she said no to the invitation, he personally went to her room to get her to dress and meet Lando even if Charles wasn't invited and preferred her to stay with him.

Charles pushed her outside before closing the door behind her back. She could hear how he yelled really to party hard, ladies?  Which caused her to burst out laughing, knowing he likes to spend time with her grandmother and friends because they are always complimenting him on his looks.

Ilaria walked towards the elevator, waiting for a good few seconds until it opened. Her face becoming expressionless as girl after girl in the tiniest skirts and dresses walked out, followed by four guys until she recognized one.

"About to have fun?" She asked without emotion.

"Odd you know what that word even means" Max called back. He stared at her a little too long for it to be normal, his eyes actually never leaving her face unlike most of the times where he takes his time to look at her body.

A small smile forced itself on his face, and before he could say anything else, Ilaria rolled her eyes and got inside the elevator.

She walked of course, not trusting the streets of Monaco yet. Not unless she is with Charles.

If you get bored text me
and I'll pick you up.

Smiling down at the text of Charles she pushed open the door to the mall, locking her phone after replying.

Charles stared at her dry reply, overthinking what he sent. He ignored the old ladies behind him screaming and dancing to ABBA. He can't help it but question if he should have tagged along with her, after all it was Lando, the guy could care less about anything and he could have just gone without being invited.

It wasn't until midnight when Ilaria's grandmother and her friends decided to watch a movie they realized how loud the music was next door.

They obviously sent Charles to knock on his door to ask to turn it down.

Charles was actually terrified.

Max is not someone to mess around. They both may have grown up together in karting and even racing nowadays, but he's not used to even talking to him for God's dake, Charles could be murdered and nobody would know it was him.

Knocking on the door felt more nerve wracking than waiting for the light out before a race.

"What—"

Max opened the door really to insult who dared disturb him. To his surprise, it was better than he imagined; making fun of Charles Leclerc is his favorite part-time job.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" He stood arms crossed, enjoying how frightened his biggest rival seems.

"Would you mind turning down the music, Max?"

"Here's the thing," Max observed how Charles spoke dragging with pain his name. He was about to agree, after all— Ilaria's grandmother helped him a lot when he moved to Monaco; she showed him around and basically took him like a mother would.

But it's Charles. "I do mind— so no."

Max proceeded to close the door, not being quick enough because Charles managed to stop it with his hand. "I'm asking you nicely"
