See, they may dislike each other but there is something ... comforting about knowing they had a person to rely on.

It may sound mad, but they liked there was one constant in their lifes.

Ilaria Crovetto hates Max Verstappen (now she knows his full name after doing a deep research on social media). She also watched the F1 series on Netflix, which came as a surprise to her because in a few of the first episodes she makes a cameo with Charles, and after bing watching all the seasons in one week she has come to the conclusion Max is a despicable person (from popular believe as well).

But she can't deny he's talented, even if they picture him as aggressive and what not, he has the skill to be up there with the best.

She can't help but feel stupid for not recognizing Max before. Ilaria has been a fan since she was born and not knowing she had been hating on Max really made her think how well she pays attention to what's happening around her.

Watching the series also helped her see what Charles went through the time they stopped talking. It made her feel terrible because she missed so many lows and highs of his life, even if they broke up their friendship came first than anything, although now that's all gone.

She thought about it a lot, calling Charles is a thought that at least once an hour comes to her mind. She was rude to him, he was hurting, and her rude words were like an arrow to the heart.

The morning of the first of August Ilaria rushed out after finally getting her grandmother to calm down about her leaving. The date of her mother and brother deaths was approaching so no wonder she's been paranoid every time she leaves the house.

"I'm sorry" she quickly mutters after slightly colliding with a person.

"You are capable of apologizing?" The voice of Max says, the smug smirk on his face could be sensed without her even looking back at him.

"I take it back" Ilaria quickly picked up the water bottle that fell before continuing walking. "Fuck you" she shouts back at him as she shows him her middle finger, walking out of the building and onto the street.

"You wish" Max yells back. Once he realized she wasn't turning around, let alone paying attention to him, Max goes after her. "Wait! Ilaria"

"I'm surprised you know my name"

"Charles never shuts up about you"

Ilaria struggles to ignore Max, he kept the pace with her as she walks to the bay. He didn't seem to care how uncomfortable she looks like or the dirty looks she sends his way. "I thought you hated each other"

"I don't hate him. We just don't get along on track"

In the hopes he would leave her alone she stops talking, walking in a rush to get to work and end the day as quickly as possible to not give her grandmother a heart attack.

But Max never leaves her side, following her to the bay and even going after her as she approaches the first boat she needs to take a look at.

"What do you want" she finally asks after insufferable minutes of silence.
