FoxiFangle looked up at him when Dixon gave their leg a sharp kick. "What? What you need... " They trailed off, looking out his window. One of those creatures. They glanced back up at him, then followed his blank look.
Another creature. FoxiFangle glanced back at Dixon's face. He was staring blankly ahead, a small smile on his face.
"Dixon, Dixon, c'mon! We gotta go!" FoxiFangle hissed, nudging him. They started scrambling to get the bags.
"Ya know." He whispered. Foxi paused, looking at him. "I've been around long enough. We'll never survive." He looked over to Foxi with tears in his eyes. "It'd be better to just, give up." He nodded at the creatures surrounding the car. "We'll never dodge them." FoxiFangle blinked. They shook their head vigorously.
"AbsoLUTELY NOT," FoxiFangle growled, yanking him from his seat. They met his gaze with a determined look. "On the count of three, we run." Dixon looked at them as if they were insane but slowly nodded.
"One, two, three!" FoxiFangle yelled, kicking the passenger door down and pulling Dixon with them. The creature closest to them snarled and ran at them. Foxi pushed Dixon forward and kicked it away. He paused for a second, surprised."Open the door! I'll be okay!" Foxi yelped, snatching a piece of metal from the ground. Dixon blinked, torn between helping FoxiFangle or getting to the door.
"Are you insane?!" He yelped, throwing his hands on either side of him.
"Probably!" Foxi replied, smashing the metal pipe into the side of the creature's head.
Dixon looked concerned, but dashed over to the door and swung it open. FoxiFangle nodded, giving another creature a good wack to the face before darting over to the gallery. Dixom slammed the door shut and slid a bench in front of it. FoxiFangle jammed the pipe into place in the handle.
FoxiFangle let out a huge sigh of relief, realizing they had held it the entire time. Dixon's blank stare trailed through the empty gallery. It felt too quiet, even though they could faintly hear the creatures howling outside, scraping at the door.
"I never want to do that again-" Foxi breathed, slowly taking the bags off their shoulders. They started regretting volunteering to carry them, their shoulders HURT like actual fucking hell, it was not enjoyable to carry around tons and tons of things.
"Okay, what was your thought process again?" Dixon asked in a slightly demanding way, looking at them as if they just said something unheard of.
FoxiFangle nodded their head back and forth. "No thought process, only attack." Dixon just stared at them in pure shock, confusion, and frustration for a minute.
"Okay, we need a game plan Dixon," Foxi clapped their hands together, standing up straight. "We are surrounded in the front, we don't have weapons and, assuming this is like a zombie apocalypse, no long-range weapons." They looked at their friend, who blinked once in that entire two minutes. "We might already be dead."
He nodded. "We need to treat this like a zombie apocalypse." Fangle raised their hand slowly, but Dixon already started talking again. "No, it does not mean we can ride down the streets in a monster truck, screaming bloody murder with machine guns, gunning down infected and/or innocent people." Fangle slowly put their hand down.
