TW: BLOOD WARNING

Pace and Zariah seemed to know their way to and through uptown Lucella from the middle of nowhere, which helped since there were now walls all around it.
"Why are there walls now?" Dixon asked Pace, who seemed to have calmed down a bit.
"We think it's because the military wanted to either close in the infected or keep infected out," he explained. "They did a poor job, since we can slip through and so can infected."
"The hospital is inside the walls, right?" Vulpine asked, turning around.
Pace flinched but nodded. "It is. We haven't been able to get in since the walls were put up, though. Thankfully the pharmacies were pretty intact and untouched."
Zariah tilted her head from side to side. "We did run into some other survivors during one supply run once upon a time. They were generally peaceful, we traded some ammunition for some of their scraps." She side-eyed Vulpine. "Why do you ask about the hospital?"
Vulpine barked a laugh. "Well, you might be able to get into the hospital now!" Dixon groaned, rubbing his face. "Just wear a mask or something, it's brutal in there."
Pace perked up. "Why? What happened?"
Zariah stopped, frowning. "The military has total control of the hospital. How do you know what it looks like inside?" Vulpine and Dixon exchanged a look.
"Well, ya see," Vulpine started, setting the hammer down. "This Mr. P guy asked us to find a friend of his. We found her and started to make our way to the hospital, where he said his base was-" they continued before being broken off by Pace.
"Wait, the billionaire Mr. P?" He asked, blinking. "Wasn't his wife sick with something?"
Vulpine tilted their head at him. They didn't know that part. "I guess? I never got a chance to ask. Anyway, something happened while we were making our way to the hospital and I hit my head on the concrete of the sewer. Woke up in the hospital, we had to get out immediately, infected doctor nearly killed us, I killed him, we realized Mr. P abandoned us, lost friend to infection, went to the carnival, met you guys, and now." They rattled off, taking a deep breath.
"And what does the inside look like?" Zariah asked, raising her eyebrows. "We might have a supply run there soon if it's good."
Dixon winced, his ears flattening against his head. Vulpine scratched their neck. "Well, actually it's like insanely bloody, with like a dozen dead bodies, including a mutilated and bubbly infected-doctor-body." They swung the hammer back on their shoulder. "We can't risk being out too long in the open, we should get going. We can bed down and talk once we're safe."
"Vulpine's right," Dixon added, looking towards the East. "We have a group of infected coming in. We'll be able to get out of their way if we hurry."
Zariah nodded and retook the lead. Pace followed quickly, Dixon at his side. Vulpine brought up the back, looking at the walls that surrounded uptown Lucella.
An arrow slammed into the ground to their left, making them stumble. Their companions whirled around. "We're being fired at!" Zariah yelled, snapping her head in the direction the arrow came from.
"We're not infected!" Pace called, waving his hands in the air. A pale green head popped up from the top of the wall looking down at them.
"Any cuts or scratches down there?!" They yelled down at them.
"We're fine! Just don't murder us, okay?!" Vulpine snapped, getting ticked off.
"You should worry about the group advancing over there!" Dixon yelled up, pointing east.
