Emptiness.

That's all they could say to describe what they felt at that moment.

They felt nothing and saw nothing. They turned to look at their surroundings. It was an empty void of nothing. Figures.

How long have they been here? They felt disassociated from reality. Now that they thought of it, they couldn't figure out who...

Who they are.

Are they even alive? What.. what happened to end them up here? Where ever 'here' is. Or was, they shuddered.

A speck of purple appeared in their vision. Taking a slight step back, they glared at the now glowing and growing purple.

There! In a small pit of their mind was an image. Who they presumed to be themself and another figure.

'So do you remember?' A glitched voice asked from behind them. Whirling around, they saw the same person from the image there, except...

'Don't worry, this won't happen in your line.' The figure answered. They frowned, taking a slight step back.

The figure glanced at the purple, which seemed like an eye now. 'You'll be waking up soon. Your memory will be returning soon.' The figure looked back at them. 'You're lucky you didn't die.'

They blinked before opening their mouth only to be violently thrown into a wall.

Bright white viciously stabbed their eyes. Vulpine could see a ceiling with those long, bright lights through blurry eyes.

"Vulpine?" A voice asked worry threaded through it.

"Is this the beyond?" They asked, their words slurring together. Their head felt like it had been cracked open.

"Thank goodness you're alive," the voice sighed in relief.

Vulpine sat up painfully, rubbing their face. Alrighty, alrighty, now where exactly are they...

"'Bout time you woke up. Had a good beauty rest?" A sarcastic voice called. Oh wait.

"Good to see you too, Blaise." Vulpine groaned, rubbing their head. Everything was a bit clearer now and--wait.

They turned to their right and saw hospital equipment next to them, the soft humming near hypnotizing. They blinked in surprise and whirled to look at Blaise and the person who the voice belonged to, who they now just, embarrassingly, realized was Dixon. Dixon wore a slightly relieved look on his face while Blaise looked worried.

"What happened?" They asked, in a sudden burst of panic.

"Wow, you don't remember anything?" Blaise asked, raising one eyebrow. She closed her visible eye and continued. "You fell in the sewers, hit your head on one of the edges, and blacked out. Took us like 3 minutes to haul you out." She stretched, flicking an ear.
