"Bye Alice." I told her while tightly holding her to my chest. "I'm going to miss you so much..." I muttered while gently kissing her forehead.

"Me to." I heard her say before she pulled out of my grasp and walked away through the airport. I felt a salty tear fall down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away as I walked back to my car and drove home.

Every few minutes glancing down at the Rose tattoo on my wrist. The moment I pulled into my driveway I saw Delilah messing with the curtains at the front window and a grin spread across my face as I walked in the front door and was emeditly bombarded with puppy kisses.

After hanging up my purse and taking off my shoes I opened up my laptop on my couch and went through a few emails I had been holding off on since Alice came to visit me.

"What do you think baby?" I asked my dog as I stroked her soft fur. I hadn't realized intel now that she made me feel a little bit less lonely here. "Ok..." I sighed out loud as I opened up a assignment I had two days to complete at this point.

October 6

I woke up to the smell of pumpkin as I had been burning 'fall scents' since the beginning of October. My house already smelled like a bake sale but I didn't mind as it made me a little less homesick.

I would be lying if I said I didn't miss having my brothers around me all the time and the lack of friends was starting to get to me.

Sure I really didn't have friends back in New York but I had Alice and her bubbly personality, which at the time was enough for me. Now most of the time it was just me and Delilah or a occasional dinner date with Camila.

Then there was the whole thing with Alessandro and honestly I just couldn't with him.

Everything was going so well with him intel he pretty much ghosted me for a month. I knew I was being dramatic with saying he didn't talk to me at all. Sure he would text me from time to time but we didn't see each other anymore and I was a little bit irritated with him if I was being honest.

We got a fucking tattoo together.

It didn't help that the damn thing kept reminding me of his stupid ass. My phone ringing brought me out of my delightful thoughts and I looked down to see Jacques calling me.

"Hello?" I asked a little startled he was talking to me. We kindove lost touch after the whole being sick this, I just came to the conclusion he had better things to do then talk to me.

'Hey Mia.' He told me in a morning voice and I scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion before coming to the conclusion he may be in a different time zone.

"Hey Jacques." I told him while pausing the Netflix show I was watching.

'Are you doing anything in three days?' he asked and I just let out a little laugh before telling him no. 'Well then how about you come as my plus one to a race?' he asked and I thought about it a bit before agreeing.

"Well I'll see you then." I told him before hanging up and going back to my show.

3 days later

It was the day of the race and I was wearing a green silk slip dress that reached my mid thigh. It was shorter than what I normally wore but when I drove up to the private entrances to the private viewing sweets I almost emidietly found Jacques in the crowed and walked over to him.
