"Hi" I barely herd over the loud performance in front of me. I turned back and saw Katelyn standing behind me. "Hey" I replied turning my attention back. "Pretty good arnt they." She commented stepped up beside me. "I guess, I don't like really heavy rock music." I told her. "it takes some getting used to." She's said always staring at Pablo.
"So how long have you been married?" I asked "few years." She twisted the ring in her finger. "cool, cool." "yeah, so I guess you're gonna experience the frequent leaving too." she commented. "yeah, he said they were leaving in a few weeks." I told her. Alex turned around to grab a cup and smiled winking at me. An uncontrollable smile appeared and I just turned so I wouldn't look like an idiot.
"You guys are cute." She told me. "Thanks" "hey, next Wednesday were having a goodbye party and you should come." This was her best attempt at nice ,well to me. "sure, they leave Wednesday?" I questioned "No like 6am Thursday morning." "Damn."
As soon as I looked up she was swooped up by a large sweaty man as she laughed. I felt a hand on my waist and saw his face literally dripping. "don't worry I'm not mean enough to kiss you right now" he laughed wiping his face on his shirt. "let's go get something to eat." He suggested "yeah, you could probably use the fresh air." he nodded. "Fuck, Jason were gonna go get food. Don't fucking leave us." he flicked his hand and we walked out though the back door.
The cool air harshly hit my face but, we continued down the street to Chipotle. Its the only fast food restaurant I actually really like. I ordered a burrito bowl and filled it with random meats and veggies. We sat down by the window and started to eat "do I stink?" He asked sniffing his shirt. "Yeah, but not too bad."
A group of four men around our age walked up and stood there for a second. "Hey man nice show tonight, we've been huge fans for a while. And your band is kick ass." One of the spoke up. "haha thanks guys." He smiled " could you sign me?" He asked holding out a sharpie. "yeah sure where dude?" Alex asked accepting the sharpie.
He signed the guys arm "you guys too?" He asked nicely "yeah actually my daughter really likes you guys too and she wanted me to give you her drawing if I got to meet you. " he handed Alex a folded up piece of paper from his pocket. He looked at the drawing for a second before grabbing an unused napkin and writing 'thanks for the amazing drawing. stay metal.' and signed the bottom. "could you give this to her for me?" The guy nodded and folded it placing it in his pocket.
"Thanks dude." the guy smiled "any time, bring her next time we're in town." He told the guy as they walked off. "look how cute this is" he said turning the paper to me. It was pretty cute, especially the proportions. "does that happen a lot?" "Not extremely often but yeah." he folded it back up before digging back in.
