After 19 hours of me almost loosing the feeling of my ass, we've finally arrived Australia!
Its 11:17 pm, Thursday. I must be feeling jet lag because I swear to god I am wide awake.
"What do you want to do now?" I asked sheepishly.
"Well, its almost midnight, were definitely not going to see anything this time of the night. We should probably settle in first and I'll give you a tour in the morning after we both get some rest." He exclaimed.
"Right. Sounds like a plan." I held unto his forearm as I carry my own bag and he carries his and we made our way towards the parking lot.
"You're driving?" I asked as he pulls a different car key out of his pocket.
"Yes, Miss Beck. I am, but if you want to do the honor then I'll be very much flattered." He teased.
"I don't even know where in Australia we are" I laughed,
"Were in Sydney, Tate." He shook his head in amusement, "This is where everything to me used to matter, I've never thought that I'll be coming back here to this place. I guess I have a new reason to make this place matter again." He exclaimed as we place our bags in the trunk of his silver Audi.
"Well, I look forward for the things that are bound to happen."
Luke drove off and every now and then I see him yawning. His eyes looked tired and I could swear that I want to offer that I could drive but the only problem is I don't even know where were going.
"So...where are we going to stay from now on?" I asked trying to start a conversation to keep him awake.
"I made a few calls and asked my secretary to buy a flat in the middle of Sydney near the beach so if you want to relax and be under the sun you can do whatever you want. I just have to follow this GPS and we'll be there in no time. I signed it under my name though, I hope you don't mind. You know, just in case your mother might do anything just to find you."
I nodded, "I understand. Does your parents know that you're getting a divorce?"
"Yeah, my father is not good with my idea so were not in good terms as of now but my mother respected my decision, she wants me to be happy."
I didn't answer."My father always liked Adelaide, I don't know why."
"I see." Part of me didn't care but the other part of me was thinking if his father will like me like how he likes Adelaide or more.
"Anyways, are you hungry? There's a 24 hour subway sandwich shit just around the corner."
"Yeah sure, a bologna sandwich with a lot of mustard sounds great." I can feel my stomach grumble. We didn't eat much in the plane since I'm so over the food they have in the menu.
We went through the drive thru and head our way back to the road. After a few more turns we stopped in front of a huge modern apartment complex. It looked really sophisticated and classy.
Luke parked the car in the basement parking and we head straight towards the elevator.
We stopped by the front desk which was on the 1st floor and talked to the girl sitting behind the desk.
"Good evening, I'm here to get the key of a unit name signed under Luke Hemmings." Luke exclaimed trying to charm the girl.
"Are you him? Because you still have to sign these papers first for the lease." The red head handed Luke a folder with papers in it and a ball point pen.
Luke took it without hesitation and signed it in speed.
"Here you are, Sir." She handed him a set of keys, "Flat number 0023, Forty-fifth floor." She announced, her accent thick.
