Chapter 5
After the murder that took place at Vivero College, a number of students began to commit different crimes as well.
Vivero College: The School for the Good
That's the name that you see outside before you enter. It is etched in big and bold letters. It has been there ever since the school was officially opened, for people to learn. These big and bold letters are polished every year. Those letters reflected the image of how students survived and graduated college after years of enduring difficult times and exerting so much effort to be able to finish this stage in their lives.
But now, the proud Vivero College has not only been tainted with blood but is also in total mayhem.
West Monteverde, a second year college student from the mol bio building, has caused a ruckus. He has been involved in bullying his fellow students for the past couple of days. I haven't witnessed him bully a student, but the students who witnessed him doing so described him as a violent person. And that makes him a potential suspect.
I haven't seen him in person either, pero balita ko eh madalas siyang tumatambay sa canteen. Kith and I have asked some of the people who knew him.
"I'm in shock! I just couldn't believe what I heard because West has never acted like this before."
"I've known West since we were in our first year, and he wasn't the type of person who would bully anyone... Well, I guess he has changed."
"I just don't understand why he'd do this... I have never thought that he could be this violent."
When it was already break time, Kith and I went straight to the canteen. Kailangan naming pakiramdaman si West. We need to carefully observe his actions. Damn, I feel like we're spies on a mission!
"You know what, I feel like we're spies right now." I whispered to Kith before sipping on my soft drink.
Natawa naman siya. "Yeah, you could say that."
He's sitting with his guy friends while drinking lemonade.
"Gosh, my life's so boring right now. I need a new boyfriend to keep me company."
Napatawa naman ako sa kanya. "Hindi lang naman lalake ang solusyon,"
Ngumuso siya. "But I like guys! 'Wag mo 'ko itulad sayo, 'no!"
Sinamaan ko naman siya ng tingin. She's referring to the fact that I don't date. I don't know, I'm just not really fond of kilig moments, receiving flowers, going on dates, and those "right person" shit.
I looked at Aubree with concern this time. "Ayos ka na ba talaga? After... Trent cheated on you?"
She flashed a wide smile. "Oo nga, ang kulit mo! Ito na nga oh, naghahanap na ako ng bago! Boring ng buhay ko 'pag walang jowa. Anyways, good luck na lang sa buhay niya at ng babae niya. I don't give a damn about them anymore. Don't bring him up ever again, Maia."
I nodded. I'm actually just concerned for her. Despite not showing it, alam kong nasaktan din siya sa ginawa sa kanya ni Trent. I admit, I'm curious about who the girl is. I don't know the full story of how she caught him with her, but I guess that's not important now.
