The sight of Sunghoon and Jake snuggled up against each other never left Sunoo's head, nor did it's tight hold on his heart loosen.

While the boy felt dumb because of how much of an impact the image had on his heart, he couldn't bring himself to be near Sunghoon for the next week. There was a stinging pain associated with him that Sunoo did not want to feel, so he busied himself with his other friends and outings. Sleeping over at Niki's house became routine for a while, even if it did seem extra.

The boy opened the door of his house, cringing at the creaking sound it made. He hadn't slept in his own home for so long even Niki wouldn't let him sleep over anymore, claiming that Sunoo needed to talk to Sunghoon and stop avoiding him.

Sunoo being Sunoo, however, had chosen to down 4 servings of street ramen rather than head home.

As the evening neared, however, even the boy himself admitted he had been out too long. It was getting cold, and his parents could have easily returned home early only to panic at the lack of his presence.

Though, judging by how their car was not seen in the driveway, he could make the safe assumption that they were thankfully out of town again. Sunghoon was probably staying afterschool-- he cherished perfect academic attendance and wouldn't do anything to risk losing it.

But in the case that he was actually home, Sunoo made sure to be extra quiet while entering his house. Notifying the one he was avoiding of his presence was the last thing he wanted to do.

With messy movements, Sunoo unlaced and took off his shoes, getting nervous and throwing them by the door. He shrugged off his jacket, shivering slightly but then slowly making his way up the stairs.

The youth sighed, running a hand through his hair as he surveyed the room he had temporarily abandoned.

To his surprise, there was no actual difference from the last time he had been there. In fact- his room looked much cleaner. The shirts in his dresser hung, shoe rack organized, and hoodies color-coded.

Sunoo's expression softened at how even his bed was made. He would have blamed it on Sunghoon making the bed after sleeping in it, but then his eyes shifted to the couch in his room. There, a pillow and bunched-up blanket were lamely placed for one to slumber.

Sunghoon never slept in his bed. The former was waiting for him to come back home, wasn't he? Each and every night...

No.

Sunoo couldn't let himself be swayed so quickly. He was upset with Sunghoon, how come he kept finding ways to put him in a positive light?

Feeling slightly disarrayed from conflicted feelings, Sunoo grabbed a hoodie from his dresser and stalked down the stairs once again.

He wanted to leave as quickly as possible. While Niki wouldn't accept his proposals to stay over once again, the young boy was sure Jungwon would. He doubted that Niki talked to Jungwon that much, so news of his horrible communication with Sunghoon couldn't have spread to him.

Sunoo eventually made it down, his eyes finding the door with leisure-- that was, until a figure seated on the couch caught his eye.

The boy's eyes widened in panic. Why was Sunghoon here? Wasn't he going to stay afterschool-- had he miscalculated the timing?

The elder male met his eyes, the other's being surprised as well but in a more eager way. His sad puppy face was on full display, which Sunoo did not need whatsoever right then.
