no one pov

jungkook strolled through the parks concrete pathway. his feet reaching out to the edges, where the concrete met the grass, making the effort to step on the crunchy snow with his chunky black boots.

the male did that for a while, just waiting for taehyung to arive, holding his smile back as he thought of the cute boy. god he just wanted to keep him close at every second of the day.

the ravenette had been continuously working on his song for the younger. and it was coming together nicely so far. he had the backing track all set up, a mix of his decent piano skills and a few samples from other classical instruments.

he didnt want it to sound too professional and synthed. the classical yet catchy beat was just perfect. atleast he hoped it was. not gonna lie he felt super nervous about this whole idea, but he hoped it would work out in the long run.

even though the backing track was going well, the lyrics on the other hand... he just couldnt get anything he wanted to say into words.

he had a few lines, but nothing ground breaking. he really wanted to put all of his emotions into this song. i mean he had never written, let a lone compose, a song before. so it was definitely a challenge.

jungkook just needed a little bit more inspiration. not that his constant thoughts about taehyung werent enough. he just needed a little push. he hoped today might help him.

"kookie!~"

finally, the ravenette thought. the sweet sound of taehyungs voice cut off his thoughts. the older of the two looked up, smiling as he saw the bundled up boy run towards him. almost slipping on the icy path way, but catching himself.

worrying jungkook nonetheless, though taehyung just looked at him and giggled.

"sorry im a little late, i was caught on a call with hobi hyung." taehyung spoke, his nose all pink form the cold.

jungkook paused a little, hearing the older mans name. he hated himself for feeling a small rush of jealousy. he knew tae and the older were close friends, but they just flirted too much in eachothers comments for jungkooks liking.

i know that sounded so stupid, but jungkook really couldnt help it.

"oh. uh- thats ok. you're here now." jungkook smiled brightly, his front teeth sparkling like the snow on the ground around them. taehyung returned the smile, nodding as they started walking around.

"the sun sets around 4:30, so i thought we could watch it over the lake." taehyung pointed out to the railing, dividing the pathway of the park to a drop in the ground, then a lake that was now freezing, about to freeze over.

jungkook hummed. "that sounds nice." jungkook spoke gently. glancing down at taehyungs hands shoved in his jacket pockets. wishing they werent, as he wanted to hold the boys hand.

"what do you wanna do until then." jungkook asked, looking at the time on his phone, 3:15. taehyung shrugged, kicking a small pebble by his feet.

"i dont know. i just like spending time with you."

he mumbled, though jungkook heard it loud and clear. a happy smile rose on his lips when he heard the smallers faint words.

"well i like spending time with you too." he teased lightly. hearing a breathy chuckle exit taehyungs mouth.

-

about an hour and a little while later, the two were leaning over the railing, watching as the sun started setting. the sky turning pretty colors of orange and pink.
