SWIFT ENCOUNTER
I was listening to a song
When you asked me what's wrong
And said, "Let's talk it won't take long"
You started with those cheesy lines and ends it with "we don't belong,"
I thought you're just fooling around so I tag along.
Isn't it that's the trend?
So, I was waiting for "it's a prank" in the end.
But, what I heard was, "I'm sorry, you're just a friend,"
With all those things we've done, in the end, I was just a friend.
After that scene, you just left me hanging
Frozen and unmoving
Don't know how to keep going
All I just did was love you, but why did I end up crying?
Days, weeks, and months have passed,
And I still feel crushed.
Until I saw you with her, I was so flushed.
That's when I realized, I should rush
And move forward to the next task
Which involved healing and acceptance so that I can already receive a sash.
A sash of victory and path to more self-love,
So, when the right man comes I'll be at my best
With the purest intentions and feelings like a dove
I'll be comfortably home with him in our nest.
What you did, make me braver
And I was able to discover the ME who is bolder and wiser
So, I want to thank you for making me the Queen I wasn't aware of,
Not until that swift encounter.
